Anyone notice that the messaging tab shows the right time for a received text but the htc client once opened shows am? or is it just me?

The message your received with the attached picture is viewable. Unfortunately, the pic is still not viewable under New HTC messaging app. At least you can view regular sms through the text messaging tab by tapping them instead of going to all messages like before with the "disable cab" Not perfect but a lot better than before. Let me know if the instructions are confusing...it is 340 am :(

Juicy please feel free to add to first page if this is the best method for now or please clarify how the mms issues have been fixed in R3. This thing is amazing in every other sense though. Excellent work as usual!!!.

Not quite sure how installing another Arcsoft fixes things being as Arcsoft is included in his ROM, but I will bite! So trying this, can you link what Arcsoft you are using, the 3 diff ones that I have install unsuccessful and say permission error.

Not sure why you're getting the permission exception but here is the Arcsoft cab I used.

So, given all the Telus issues with Tethering, i am on VZ and use the Wifi ROUTER
does this qualify as tethering, and do i need to apply the fix?
i know the fix states a USB2PC connection, but just wanted to be safe

Ok, thanks for the Arcsoft CAB. No different than the other 3 I had guessing though since I start trying to make it work after I flash that it wants a clean Registry etc to install it onto and won't otherwise. I HR and installed, and it took that time. Will report back my findings. Thanks

Great update Juicy!

Still an unresolved issue since R2 with the Facebook photo to contacts. When intergrating Facebook with the contact list it will import all their status, , bday and profile photo (in most cases).

But the issue is when calling or receiving a call from a contact using their Facebook photo as their contact photo it only shows the default HTC avatar picture.

This didn't seem to be an issue in R0 as far as I recall.. otherwise excellent ROM so far!!

I believe if you have a permission error it's because you have messaging open when you install. Try closing it or soft resetting before you install.

Used total commander and didn't see it listed in my programs either. Do I need to add the sprint server in the registry somewhere?

Beware....

Sending a text message (not an MMS) from the native WM SMS app does not work! The message does not get received. Can someone else confirm?

go to mail tab. click inbox. slide right to get to sms/mms inbox. click menu, scroll down to get to pics/video options, go to cdma serversset up server settings from my post on page 180. Let me know if you have issues.

I am using the one that opens directly from the messaging tab in sense 2.5. It is the HTC interface. The one that you have to push the back key to get out of. I wonder if anyone else is having issues. Are you getting an error or people just not receiving them?

i found the settings, under cdma there was just a samplemmsc2 listed, I tried to create another one titled sprint but it says that there another connection with the same name. went over to gsm server and there was a sprint connection. I just changed the connection to sprint2 and I'll see what happens. I didn't see an option to delete the other connections.

I'll try it out and see if I can send/receive.

Lovin the rom so far. Anyone know how to get bookmarks to match up with opera bookmarks? The manila ones dont change when I add ones to opera.

If you want to delete the other servers, you can after you set yours as the default. Just hold your finger over the one you want to delete until the pop up comes up. Hope it works for you.

Yeah...thats the HTC messaging. That works fine for me. I am talking about the windows 6.5 sms/mms messaging application. For me if you compose a text message directly in the windows app, the text does not send. Can you confirm?

cool will let you know. I'm guessing that it wasn't working earlier because there was the sample account in there for CDMA, if I had to use the gsm service then it should go out using the sprint service according to the gsm settings.....?:scratch:

They won't match up. They're in a different folder. The manila thumbnail style bookmarks are located in /windows/favorites

They're actually the IE favorites. But when you assign them to manila, they get opened by Opera. Very weird :) took me a while to figure it out!! Hope this helps

It looks like the wm app does not send text messages. If it does, they are being lost somewhere in the air because the recepient is not getting them. Looks like you're stuck with the HTC messaging app.:???:

I duplicate the same settings for cdma and GSM servers. I don't know if that is the way to do it or not? I have never had the need to use my sim card. No problem, I have been helped a million times by people on this forum, just trying to help a little.

Am I the only one that doesn't have a big problem with the new HTC message app? Definitely not a deal breaker for me. I get this sneaking suspicion that it will be either a) improved to work perfectly or b) bypassed for all eternity in the near future. Either way, Juicy's pumping out the best ROMs right now fo sho

Disregard. Recepient got the message via wm application. It took 10+ minutes for them to get it though. Not sure why yours isn't working.

You tube still no sound the same thing with the r2 rom and mms what is the deal why can't anyone fix this and if theres a offical fix someone please post a cab or the correct fix please I'm begging!

And just to ask I seen one day in the xda threads that theres a cab that save the manila contacts "back up" for when your a consistant flasher
