Re: [ROM] [12/09/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R6 (21884) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

I am not on verizon but there is a verizon provisioning built right in (same as mightymikes), I suggest just giving it a try. just be careful the new manila interface is a little addicting.

If you don't like it you can always flash back. Nothing to really worry about

No the provisioning app did not pop up. I tried 3 hard resets with no joy. The only thing that poped up was the switch to Global mode.

I am trying a different ROM as I could not get a data connection on R6. It seems to be working fine with a different ROM. Juicy R5 worked great, perhaps I should have stayed there...

Thanks for the reply.

I suspected that as well, but I did a clean install of Juicy R4 and R3 to test and for me I could never get youtube sound. It is only in this rom (only manila 2.5 rom I use) where that sound didn't work.

I have installed all my usual apps on R6, Nothing different or missing, like I said R6 is working perfect, the volume bar never even used to come up when I tried to change it in youtube, but now I get the semi transparent icon in the middle of the screen with the volume bar. The best person to know what might have changed is Juicy, but he can't reproduce the problem. If I had to guess it is probably in some way manila managing the sound control in a previous version, and youtube couldn't gain access.

edit: but what do I know

wow , juicy, this rom is much faster than r5 (IMO). i am running idle @ 47% !
no reboots. no tweaks. and still running active data connections since 7am CST. Thanks 4 the Juiced r6!
---
ok here's an update since my last post.
1. do not like the 3G icons on top.
2. have to pull the battery out and back in to get web pages to work properly. still troubleshooting.
3. htc sms was WAY better. (aesthetically)
4. a bunch of sms have been delayed incoming and outgoing
5. mms still not working. worked fine on r5
i am going to wipe the device to see if i can replicate the issues. if not i'll stay on r6.
edit # 2
mms works incoming from yahoo mail to tp2.
web pages boot up directly and correctly.
test sms works good.
i remember a few 100 posts ago some people said you don't have to wipe the device after flashing. remind to never take their advice every again.

For those of you that pushed for HTC messaging to be disabled I hope you are happy now...I for one wish I could have it back...the only way to deal with messaging now is with the "all messages" softkey...it makes the contacts tab useless for starting texts which is what I was used to doing...I would make favorites with the text as default so I could go right to creating a message but now when I do that, nothing happens...

Re: [ROM] [12/09/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R6 (21884) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

I would like to change my wallpaper. I see this ROM uses Compression...however HDwall does not offer a compression option in creating a wallpaper cab for WinMo6.5 and Sense 2.5 . Can I use HDWall non-compressed cab with this ROM?

(I searched but in this thread all references were regarding MaxManila...which I know support has been discontinued)

Well, you guys who like a download site that isn't speed-limited, doesn't make you wait, supports resumes, allows multiple connections/is accelerator friendy, or any combination thereof are out of luck. I PMed Juicy weeks ago with his own login for my bandwidth-unlimited, accelerator-friendly mirror to no response. I guess he doesn't want it and instead prefers other mirrors that are handicapped in some way.

I won't be uploading R6 to it. If it's gonna be on there, he'll have to do it himself. Sorry guys. Take your long download times up with him.

Also, taking out HTC Messaging breaks a lot of stuff.

Agreed...the only thing disabling HTC messaging does is make MMS work "out of the box"...even with WM texting in R6 there is a little bit of lag when typing...in R5, after taking the 1-2 minutes it took to get MMS working right everything worked well and there was nothing broken...
