I was on R2 for awhile and loved the experience, but had to switch back to MightyROM for certain stability and functional reasons. I've yet to experience a random hard reset on ANY ROM, let alone MightyROM...which, IMO, is pretty damn good! As is R2! The chefs on this board are like miracle workers...giving life to what otherwise would be a device I would have gotten over a month after having it. But, im just a flash junky like that. :D

Thanks for all your work, guys!

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

Anybody else unable to add contact photos from albums? it lets me crop and then i hit done and nothin happens. am i doin it wrong now in this version, is it really not workin, or is there a workaround?

on another note, my volume bar works now in manila music tab. it wasnt earlier, like others have reported but i then used media player and the volume bar worked (much improved graphics btw) and now i get the same volume bar in manila. not sure if using media player first fixed it or if i just did a hard reset and that fixed it...

edit: another thought is maybe the volume bar would have worked all along had my music totally loaded. i have a lot of music and it takes several minutes to load. similarly others had reported shuffle not working (or maybe that was another rom), but my shuffle wasnt doin anything at first either but after playin music for awhile then i could get it to work. its probably all related to havin about 6 gig music on the card...

I have 5GB of music on my card and have no issues whatsoever playing it. All of the album art loads, the equalizer works, volume buttons work as they should with screen both on and off...glad to hear you got yours working as I don't believe issues were related to the underlying ROM based on the fact mine's been working perfectly since flash...

Microsoft my phone works fine on mine. I think the other person was referring to the clock. It's the nature of the clock to flip- HTC's way of showing how animated the UI is

for the record, the 1% batt driver for sprint KILLS the battery for this ROM. thought I'd let everyone know. mine died last night, and it was the only thing i loaded. usually it lasts through the night, and through to the next day, esp since i turned bt off.

a

PS-and any ETA for R3? Just curious Juicy

Also, has anyone else noticed that the 3G option in communications can't be changed to auto mode? Mine is off and will not let me change it to auto. Is it supposed to be this way?

Same here.

I also swapped back to MM from R2, & IMHO MM is the best most stable ROM available for everyday use.

I will certainly try R# when it's available however.

Which ROM are you referring to as the most stable for everyday use? I am curious to try it out.

I would say lets not hi-jack Juicy's thread about stable Roms....besides what is stable for you may not be stable for others in some instances....try em all out...Juggs, JD, Merdin, MM...etc...and of cousre Juicy's...

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

I was on MM ROM too and It was a solid ROM but no Manila 2.5, which is the latest thing out there. JUICY's ROM offers Manila 2.5 and unlike many of those complaining about it, I have experienced a solid performance out of this ROM with ALL the eye candy associated with it. Among others, I tried Energy with M2.5 with both WM 6.5 and 6.5.1. Neither was anywhere as stable as Juicy's.

Yes, you have to tweak it a bit to get all the features working out of it, like MMS, but I have no problem with MMS. Im on Sprint and I am able to us Manila SMS and Arcsoft MMS so to all those leaving Juicy because of MMS, well its just a matter of not being lazy and not expecting everyone to just make everything work for you, you gotta do some work youself. I mean, if you want it to have all the features working right off the bat then stick with the Stock ROM.

And yes, do go bashing on Juicys thread and telling people to go to other ROMS. Those other ROMs are made public to all and its in the General Rhodium CDMA Upgrades page so if you want to try something else just joing in the conversation and go ahead and try the ROMs. Everyones phones work somewhat differently according to each individuals needs so one persons favorite ROM might not be suitable for another.

Just my 2 cent.

I honestly don't think that's an appropriate post in another chefs thread, unless of course you've been to every other chefs thread and posted the same comment? Alternatively simply post it in Mike's own thread...but I see you've already done that ;)

Personally I find this ROM very stable. I don't use MMS, but as an earlier poster said, everyone uses something different.

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

this is the best manila 2.5 rom i have flashed..i flashed all versions of ENRGZ rom, but hated the fact that he customized it to how he likes it (i.e. the clock, default wallpaper and the fact that "animated wallpaper dont work) although i love amount of apps that comes with it.

mm rom is good but no 2.5

Juicey rom is the best so far for me and im sticking with it, im trying hard not to customize it (although its not working) as im waiting for R3 release1 :))

Based on the stability, im sticking with either R2 or R3, im so happy with this rom that after flashing it i have no need to try the others out there! :)

Thanx juicey!

Yes. Manila 2.5 has no landscape mode so it goes black while in landscape.

Yea. No problem.
I've been a Juicy follower since I got my TP1, and every single ROM he made for it has been perfect. Fast, stable, had all the new cool stuff.
I decided to hold off on the TP2 for a little while, but when I get it, first thing i'll do is throw a Juicy ROM on it.

Excellent ROM juicy, Although I am using mighty mike right now, I would really love to use a 2.5 rom.

a couple things, for some reason the location was saying I am in Ontario, which is correct, but it wouldn't give me the city???? A little bit of sorting in the programs start menu would be awesome, (like Mightyrom) I know I know I can do it myself, and I will.

Everything else is great, (or nothing you can do about it: ie landscape)

Awesome job, can't wait for R3

I just flashed this ROM again & I still can't get MMS to work at all (I am on Verizon)

When I open tmail.exe it doesn't even show the MMS/SMS account. I have tried installing two different versions of Arcsoft.

WTF is the trick to getting MMS to work in this ROM?? I don't care what i have to do as long as it works somehow........

hey Juicy any chance you may move into the 23xxx builds? i have seen some stable builds and i think it would be a nice move... i love the start at the bottom plus some other things.

either way you know how i feel abour your rom so i shouldnt have to say it but i figure i suggest this...

take it easy my friend...

also.. you should get in touch with juggalo x to see if you can get the Telus radio since you are on Telus and his flashed his radio a while ago.... im sure many people her would love that...

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

Does anyone know how to link the left softkey on this ROM to the Lock Screen. I know how to remap that key (or at least how it was done in 6.1) but I can't figure out how to change the "Phone" softkey to bring up the Lock Screen or how to assign the lock to any button for that matter. I would like to be able to lock the device without having to assign a code but rather just use the sliding mechanism as it is setup on the "Start" screen. Any help would be much appreciated. Great ROM, I appreciate the cleanliness of your version.

I saw on another rom that they had a shortcut icon on manilla 2.5 to lock the screen...is there a way to make on of the program/shortcut keys on this rom to be a lock button?? maybe a cab file for a lock program which is linked to the lock screen?
