The file is a .7z extension, not a .exe like Mighty's. You need either winrar or 7-Zip to open / extract a .7z file.

OK, another flash of R8 fixed the power off issue, but now when I power on, Sense UI takes forever to load. When it does, it's all distorted, but I can sometimes correct it by touching a button or something.

I would clear storage (probably not needed...but might as well try!), and redownload from Rapidshare, and try again, after the reflassh, clear storage again (I always do this), and then you should be good to go...cause it does work; you must have a bad flash...good luck!

after using R8 since release, i think im going to have to flash back to sprint stock... R8 has some glaring issues i just cant put up with any longer... its nice make no mistake and im not completely dumping Juicys work, but ill wait till R9 and try again (does he need a buglist made? hell ill even host a mantis for him if he wants) since some of the things are a major killjoy for me

A little update on the ringer issue with Opera 2u. I installed Duck Man's Modded version of 2u, which can be found at XDA, and the phone rings just fine. So for me, the ringing problem is specific to the stock 2u. Hope this info helps someone.

I can't open the 7z archive. Says file is damaged. I tried using winrar and 7zip. I've also tried re-downloading a few times with no luck.

if its damaged or errors out when trying to extract, means its a bad download i believe. you gotta keep trying to download a new. make sure to delete the old and try agian. thats all i can think of...

Does anyone know how to make the album art show up in the touchflo music tab??? It shows up in Windows media player but won't when I play in TF....I have read other posts and have tried them all but no go.....I read that you must rename the album artwork file to "folder" but there is no album artwork...I think it is attached to the mp3 file....I also tried to update it within the tab but some do some don't.....Any ideas???

All of my album art is embedded into the mp3 files and they show up everywhere.

I have verizon carrier, i loaded juicy r8 today i did clear storage and set
verizon provision, i set the mms settings like on the first page says
but still cant get mms to work please help anyone thanks

ok i got this rom and it is awesome . i got everything to work but the speaker phone when i flip the phone over nothing happens is there a fix for this or am i doing something wrong

dont even bother.

I found it on XDA (googled xda opera 10 ninja duck)...

It's buggy as hell - installed fine, but - freezes, and locks up frequently.

my audio for alarms is not sounding again. is there a fix for this? i do like this release but i need the alarms to wake me up. i don't have an alarm clock :D. its like it corrupted the alarm wav file i chose. the other default sounds do it eventually too.

After about 10 tries on the download I am able to unzip. Flashing now.

Update: Everything seems to work fine. Speaker Phone and Alarm are working without problems. I'll know more after using it tomorrow.

The Phone may need to be re-claibrated (g-sensor)..however, I believe it has been removed on this version...I see a place for in within setings/sound & display...but it doesn't work...not sure why it was removed, maybe someting to do with Landscape??

Hey Juicy or if any one can help me out... I'm with Sprint using a TP2 running Juicy R8,GREAT Rom,everything works great. I am able to receive mms but not able to send out... Can some one provide any help with this,Thanks for all you're help and keep up the great work.

Just an FYI, I'm able to calibrate the G-sensor in R8 using the method described to you earlier but I'm not sure if the speakerphone option that you want works or not as I only loaded R8 this evening.

Thanks Juicy for a great ROM. I love the way you intergrated the Setting into the HTC interface. It took a day to get used to but not a biggie at all.

A few things is that every once in awhile the phone wont respond to anything. Either that or it's taking a long time. I just reset and everything is fine. Another is I can't get Skype or Youtube to work. Another is that when I go to landscape sometimes the screen will get messed up (ie Music Tab and Messaging).

Other than that it's great. Fast and the battery last really well.

I get the same error message. Was running latest version of the ROM (with nothing else added). Verified that GPS works within Google. I also opened the camera and set it to GPS mode and took pictures--seemed to work, but when I try to launch Footprints, I get the same message.

i GET THAT too. I have to try this rom out. Do picture messages really work on this with HTC messaging? Cause it doesn't work with teh Silence ROM. Also does this thing keep reszing Sense 2.5 with this one?

Try 'settings'>'sound&display'>G-sensor

I calibrated without a problem but as I said, haven't yet has a call to see if laying the phone down initiates the speakerphone.

_music tab issue - when going from portrait to landscape, it rotates fine but when going back from landscape to portrait.. the landscape somewhat freezes, if you move the tab to another one and move it back, it goes back to normal..

_Footprints issue - when trying to add a footprint from the footprint tab, it states 'failed to initialize camera'

other than that i was a die hard mightyrom fan, but this rom is very quick and the transitions from tab to tab and other graphics are much smoother!!
