My bad, I didn't see the difference straight away. I tried BiGnAdAd Remove Carrier Text & Top Curtain.cab and that had the bad effect. Your link to BiGnAdAd Sense-RemoveCarrier-TopBar.cab was spot on. Thanks!!!

You have to disable these shortcuts with a registry editor. You say you use Resco as I do, so Im sure you use Resco Registry also.

Go to: HKEY_Current_USERS\Software\HTC\Manila\IsShortcutE nable, change from 1 to 0 then soft reset and the shortcuts should be gone.

THANK YOU! i knew it would be something easy like a regedit, just didnt know where to go in the registry. ill try this as soon as i stop driving, lol
