Hey whatsup guys, Im about to move up to the TP2 and I was going to go to the latest version of MR. It certainly earned itself to me on my TP and I'd like to stick with it. I have somewhat of a noob question as Ive only flashed a PPC to one rom after a HSPL. I noticed from some of the latest posts here that it looks like a new MR version might be coming out soon, I was just wondering if once I put on the current version of MR and a new one comes out... would I need to revert BACK to the HSPL before going up to the latest MR? Thanks a ton... you guys are great.

the provisioning cab is already on your phone. The PRL & Profile update cab you have to install. here's a link to it. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...1&d=1280847652

once you hardspl unlock your phone, you're done with it. then you can flash any custom roms (for your phone) that you want.

Once you've done the HSPL you never have to do it again.
You can just flash the new rom once it comes out over the old one, but it is suggested you first flash back to the stock rom or do a task29 format and do a hard reset (clear storage) in between.
(basically those methods clear the phone's memory to prevent remnants of the old rom for fudging up the new one).

Thanks, I had one more question. On the TP MR there were a bunch of tips and tricks to raise the memory, things like disabling the dialer, doing some reg edits, stuff with Advanced Config. I was wondering if there were any things like that for MR on TP2 or are the edits essentially the same. Thanks.

essentially the same, but that was for the crippled memory on the verizon tp. you dont have a crippled device anymore. :)

Having trouble flashing the latest Mightyrom. I keep getting this error message when I click on the .exe file: "Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry the instalation". I click ok, then I get what looks like an unzip utility that says :CRC failed in the encrypted file ruu_signed.nbh (wrong password ?).

I have re-downloaded the file 3 times and its always the same...I am using mightyrom.com as the password. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Something strange happened to me last night. I noticed that S2U2 quit displaying on the weather on the lock screen. When I unlocked my phone, the city shown in the weather display below the clock was for a different city (one I had added on the weather tab). When I went to the weather tab and tried to remove it, it did not appear in the list even though it appears as location 2 when I flip between the 5 locations I have. Don't know how this could have happened.
It seems to me I should be able to fix this through a registry edit. I did a search in the registry but could not find the keys where this information would be stored.
Anyone have any ideas? I know a hard reset will probably fix it but I'm waiting for Mighty to release his latest. I can live with this until then if there isn't an easy fix.

Thanks!! I had found about 15MB in the ~Recycled folder which is hidden by default. This brought me to 21.89MB. When I reset Google Maps, it jumped to 42.35MB! Clearing the Opera cache brought me to 47.35MB. Those are some really BIG improvements.

Thanks again!

Hiw do I unhide the recycle folder?
