23150 ROMs will be up in a few minutes...

A couple of big changes with these R4 ROMs:

1) I've officially replaced Sense 2018 with Sense 2019. All ROMs from here on out will be 2019. I've been testing it out over the last week or so and all seems to be working well. As I'm sure you know Sense 2019 is said to be faster than 2018 and 2016. I agree. Other than a being more speedy there is no visual difference between the two that I'm aware of.

2) I've updated several packages:

GPS Confirmation
Appointment Editor
Audio Booster (of a Sharkie-Blue variety)
Audio Manager Engine
Calculator
Contact Picker
Contact Utility Engine
HTC Scroll
HTC Bookmark
New Contact Card
Notification Enhancement
Social Networks Engine
YouTube

I'm not one to always update all my packages everytime there's a new version out so I've been running with the same ones for a while now. Why change what's working well. Anyway, I figured it was finally time to move on up. So I've started with these. As you can see they are important packages that can have a dramatic effect on stability, speed and battery life. I've tested all these areas out and I believe they all work correctly. They've not been tested over the long haul yet, but they will be.

On that note, I won't be putting up anymore Cutting Edge series ROMs for the next few days as I hunker down and run what I'm hoping to be my next official release. I don't want to post a new ROM that I've not flashed yet and I don't want to flash for a while to test out the next release thoroughly.

3) I also added the threaded e-mail package that I had mentioned. I love threaded e-mail!

If you cook the HTC router into the next official release, I'll test it out and get back to you. I think I was the one having the most problems with it. Sometimes it would only stay connected for 30 seconds, and then i'd have to shut it off and restart it every 2 minutes. Sometimes the WMWifiRouter disconnects on me, but it automatically reconnects, whereas the HTC one doesn't, it just hangs...

the same day the poster w/ google maps issue, just the other day. my google maps would not get a fix on sats. i was clueless cause it has never happened. then another said to double check quick gps (but i remember changing that to auto dl) so i did and everything was checked except active sync/pc option, so it should auto dl when expired but it didnt and it said in red expired. so for some reason the quick gps doesnt auto dl like before. or maybe i never noticed, i dunno? but the only way to actually test is to wait 7 days. the thread that popped up is from other roms as well here

I can confirm that QuickGPS doesn't auto-update all of the time. It's totally random, but sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. I don't think it's the ROM as it did the same thing on MightyROM.

Your thread is moving quick!!! Seems like every day I'm in here I' have3-5 pages to catch up on! And it's all good stuff too! On a side note, I'm running the new WP7 theme for ThrottleLauncher on your latest official ROM, overclocked to 768, and it's running awesome!!! Keep up the awesome work!

ok thanks for that, i might have to start changing the noti popup to enable so i can see if it at least alerts you when its expired and can at least check and manually dl. but then agian vin popped in and confirming that he use google maps w/out the need of quick gps, w/ 2 reg. edits. would like to test that out or know what that actually does for the assist. but yyea, that thread that i linked had users from multiple roms so hopefully vins tip pans out.

i flashed 29003 between delivers today. havent had much time on it except the basic settings n walk threw. i cant remember anything popping out that i noticed other than the normal. i did notice the threaded email, dont email much but i had 1 conversation w/ mutiple and had to check it out. this could really be something to get used too, i really starting to like this feature. just as a note, the new skin for mm, the text for the running prog. an such is almost a greyish but kinda hard to stand out/read on the the blueish backround/highlight.

I just added Vinn's two edits to the registry fresh after flash before doing ANYTHING else, soft-reset, opened up Google Maps, selected Use GPS and in 4 seconds it found my location. I'll make a cab of those edits here in a few minutes for easy install if anyone wants and hopefully some of you with Google Maps issues can see if this works to fix your problem. I'll be cooking these edits in from now on.

Yeah, I'm not 100% happy with the MM skin yet either, it's still a work in progress, but I do like it much better than the normal. I wish that the close all button was different than the rest of them. I'm still milling around ideas in my head on this one. I'll probably have something different up for the next release.

Subscribe to a few steady threads and have your subscription set to notification by e-mail and see how quickly you come to appreciate threaded email.

do you know what exactly is being changed w/ these? when u checked google maps after the reg. edits did you check to see if quick gps wasnt dl'ed automatically already? cause you changed quick gps to auto dl on boot and if it was already dl'ed then it might be hard to compare...i dunno but i'll give it a shot, hopefully the quick gps will expire.

thats a great idea bout the thread to email notif. will have to do this to enjoy threaded email on a more daily basis

You're right, I didn't think about the fact that Quick GPS is autodownloading. Oh well, I don't believe that it can hurt. No, I don't know exactly what those do, but when it comes to ROM stuff, I trust Vinn implicitly.
