Sharkie: Just tried out your rom for the first time. using sprint version 4.0 6.5.x. PS I just moved from Brooklyn, NC to Durham NC in RTP. Just had to say that because i noticed on your weather it said Durham. You probably live next door to me.

Oh, and I've also updated to v7.4 (Thanks to steve070 for making it easy and posting that cab) which is much nicer I must say.

Sharkie if you make the mail mod a cab install on your rom that would be cool but if you uninstall the cab it will make the widgets go transparent because you have CHT a cab install also and not cooked into the rom its self so it doesnt have the orginal files to fall back on. Just letting you know that befor you do the next rom release. Maybe post a cab to revert back to orginal widgets. Glad everyone likes it tho.

Its running pretty smooth so far. I am coming over from VINNs ROM who Roms always ran well. I just made the switch because I wanted to have the latest Pluto. Great rom, tried a while ago and went with others for a bit, but back to yours again and seems you're just getting better and better.

One thing I noticed is you have the same issue as the inferno rom did. Some of us old dudes remember and still use MIDI ringtones at times. They sound really weird with the mini instrument setup in default. Here's the stuff I found that fixed that rom and it worked for yours too:

It was the ringtone plugin. I downloaded this mega pack here: ROM Packages from HTC Mega (QVGA WM 6.5) - xda-developers
then copied the rtpluginex3.dll to the windows directory and imported the rgu registry entries. After that, the midi ringtones sounded normal again.

OK, so I have your skin installing as a cab at boot up. I just tried to remove it and everything was fine. The CHT mail widget returned to the stock files and the Mail Tab also returned to the stock files.

Did you try it out and you got no images? Or were you just speculating on what may happen? If you got no images, I'm not sure why. I have it installing after CHT so the CHT files are still there and are what's left after the removal of your skin.

And, in case anyone was wondering. This skin still works fine on Sense Mail with CHT removed, even though it contains a couple of CHT files.

Yea the email tab and wdgt will be fine but the sms wdgt goes trans. The email wdgt gets its img from the same file as the tab but the sms wdgt is part of cht so if you cab install cht the replace the file with another cab then uninstall the file gets deleted because its not part of the rom files.

I C, I didn't realize that your mod was also for SMS. I thought it was only an email mod. Guess I should pay closer attention. Well, in that case here's the stock version of your files in the cab.

Atleast that is what I have came across every time I cab install cht then one of my mail mods and then uninstall it. If its all good then this would be the first time it didnt go trans for me. Ill try to uninstall and see what happens.

Yeah, you're right on the Messaging Widget front. I just tried it. The post stock cab works to return the files back to normal. I've added this stock cab to the 2nd post along with your skin cab along with a note to use the stock cab if someone removes your skin cab.

Mcluvntheboss Sharkie sig CAB works great on my no co0kie version too. Looks great. Adds that nice signature no matter what home screen config your running. Took a trip from St Louis to Chitown w/no problems. Works the way it always should have. No problems to report.

Still having problems with UC WEB accessing yahoo mail, I know the previous browser had the same problem, anyone know if there is a fix for it?

running 4.0, works great, best of all no memory leaks.....

Sharkie - just flashed to your latest. Syncing via Activesync to my company Exchange 2010 server failed with error code 86000c29. Our company enforces security locks. I saw this error last year on almost every EnergyROM. The fix for it is:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies]
"00001017"=dword:000000b4
"0000100c"=dword:00000040

All working now - going to try Nuebattery again - miss the 1% increments.

Not sure at the moment, but I'll look into it. You may just have to stick with whatever other browser you're used to using.

I've got Sashimi files from RZ TP2 kitchen that I can include in mine. I've not searched around for anything other than that. I'll put together a ROM for you with those files included and you let me know if it works properly or not. I've never used Sashimi and really don't want to take the time to learn, but I realize that many people like Sashimi and if my ROM were Sashimi compliant, that would be a good thing. :)

I should have something up for you tomorrow. I'll PM you when I do.

If it's not working then you must have done something on your end. I can confirm it works as I use it frequently. You do know that you can disable the weather animation manually using the registry, right?

Can anyone else confirm that the Weather Animation On-Off switch is working as I described?

nevermind - changed my animated wallpaper to the blue light streaks.png - speedy now & the moon halos are gone. Toggle is working fine.

I'm on 4.0, when I turn the toggle weather on the clouds fill the screen, when I toggle off the weather animation disappears.

On the new build w/no co0kie. Toggle works fine. Selecting weather wallpaper, then hit the toggle once, clouds go away. I've always been in the habit (before Sharkie created the toggle) just just copy/paste any wallpaper into Windows/Animated Wallpaper. You will never have any weather animation that way also.

I got Opera 9.7 loading as a cab at boot up, and..... <drum roll>...........


IT'S TOTALLY REMOVABLE BITCHES!!! :headbang:



Apparently there's a new Opera 9.7, version 36053. Anyway, this cab works perfectly. So if you don't like Opera 9.7..... UNINSTALL THAT MOFO!!!

As I suspected, having Opera in the ROM also allows for the snapshots of the Internet Favs to take place.

I remember having an issue where the sun would disappear when the rotation of it would stop, kind of like what happens when you try to use that s2w cab that we've been working on. To fix that issue I had to go back to an older Sense Calendar package (why the Calendar Tab has anything to do with the weather on the Home Tab is beyond me, but it does). I'd forgotten about that this time around because I didn't have that disappearing sun issue, but it sounds like exactly what's happening with that cab. So, I've gone back to an older version of the Calendar Tab (there's no visual difference between the newer one and the older one) and I hope this may fix your issue <fingers crossed> Here's a screenie of the cab in action, but it's night time and so I'm not 100% sure that it will work when the sun is out. I'll have to test that part out tomorrow.

I've added those Sashimi files that I mentioned into the ROM, so let me know if you're able to get Sashimi to work.


All the afore mentioned changes will be in v4.1 which will I'll be uploading soon and will post a link to in the morning/afternoon when I wake up.

Quick question before others might ask. I don't use the internet quick link; however, what happens if the user removes Opera 9. Will the snapshots in the faves disappear?

OK, here's the problem/solution. Spent all night w/settings, Google, and posting. Horndoctor brought up a good point regarding UCWeb not being Java based and Yahoo being. Went to their site and WinMo isn't; however, they do have a new 7.5 Java version (seems geared towards some Samsung, Sony/Erricson, and Nokia devices. Downloaded and tested. You have to open Java, then browser and keep accepting to get in. It can be achieved;however, it isn't worth the effort. Would be much easier to have 2 browsers. I highly suggest UCWeb for this site and Opera for email (mini for speed) or the new 9.7 that Sharkie is going to be implementing in his new ROM.

Ones that were already set if you've visited a favorite using Opera will not disappear, but without Opera, no new snapshots will be taken.

The upload got jacked up over night. I'm re-uploading now. It'll be about another hour or so till it's ready.

Oh, and modmyppc, s2w's cab works fine on v4.1 even on the sun :)

I tried everthing on that sun and moon. I looked at every weather file and no matter what i did it still wasnt working. Thats cool you figured it out cause i gave up on it. lol.
