Try this cab and let me know if it works. I've installed it and it seems to be functioning correctly, but since I don't use it, I've not actually run the process all the way through.

And\or if you have a newer version, post it so I can have a look at it.

The other sucky thing about Sashimi is that there is no support for it anymore and Benglahi (however you spell it) doesn't even have is site up anymore...

Is the beta rom for sprint? In the .7zip the folder says 6.5.x sprint.

I get this error "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions"

I just installed that cab on my ROM with no problems...

Is that what you were saying, that you couldn't even install the cab I posted? If so, when you have the time, I would reflash and try installing that first thing. If it's not installing, it's something you've done cuz it works fine here on my end. Since that cab works (I've auto installed several cabs with it) there's no reason for me to spend more time on it. Like I said, help with it is dead and not too many people seem to use it, and I also have XDA UC in the ROM which can also be used to auto set up your stuff.

Shark, just got home, it does install to the device when I hit device. When I install it to the sd card I get the error. I just have to copy my sashimi dir to the root of the device and all is good. Thanks for helping out with sashimi. The 4.0 version wouldnt let me install to device or storage card.

where is the voice command located at in the rom. Trying to set up my bluetooth again. Also is there another video player i can install? WM doesn't like my avi file.

Long pressing the send key activates Voice Command and it's settings are located in Start Menu\Settings\Personal.

I'm sure there are plenty of other video players to install. I don't know any that I could name now though. I'm sure someoen will chime in with a suggestion or two. There's also the HTC Fullscreen player that's in the ROM along with WM Player.

havent done this in awhile so dont know how far back this was broke or not...i actually linked my contacts via facebook and all that went fine but the linked contacts "online albums" are broke. the only thing they yield is a no smoking type sign (circle w/ a slash) i have seen this on other roms in the past (juicy or sprint lovers) which did have a solution, just cant remember.

i have some more info regarding my "white box" in music tab "fake" landscape. i was checking it agian after another brought up it was broke (sorry im mobile an dont want to look back and forget their name) then mention later it was fine. i checked some of the other songs w/ no art then put it in fake landscape...and i didnt get the white box, go figure. i started checking the other songs and bam there it is agian. so i narrowed down the songs/mp3 that give me the white box, kinda. i found all my ringtones and notification type stuff (on sd/documents/ringtones) all give me a white box, even thou i personally hate them even showing up in the library at all, which is another issue all together. but besides those i have 1 whole album (8 songs) that does give me the white box 2. its the new Collie Buddz album "playback", which is freakin great i might add but not only that the whole album is free for download off his site (search collie buddz; listen to holiday) All my other songs w/out art show the no art icon just fine thou. makes me think it has something to do w/ ringtones showing up in the library and hidden files for that whole album?

like the messaging sharkie signatures. personally i think those add a nice "mark your rom" touch along w/ your welcome head. i think you should keep those in rom (leaving the option to remove via cab) to stamp it, rep it up. i think this about any skinning you have or want to do in the future, like the start menu selector and such. i for 1 like the option 2 remove cabs as others ( as i was 1 that asked bout it) but for big apps like browsers and other non essentials to save space. but for minimal tweaks (email type tweak) and skinning (start menu, wm kimi messaging, etc) should stay with rom cause it gives it that "sharkie" stamp. i do thank you for making the apps removable cabs but do what you please w/ the skinning, i like the style and you can install themes over yours (like i do for the taskbar).

this might make me look dumb but here goes. just noticed tonight that holding down a home page quick link pops a red bar across the top that says something like drag link to remove. running no co0kie. have I always had this since this device came out or is it a residue of co0kie? don't know how I could have looked over it.

It's something new in the newer versions of Sense. I'm not sure exactly which version it started with. At least 2016, I believe, possibly a couple of versions earlier. I'm not sure.

I believe there is a fix for the Album Facebook albums thing. I'll look around for it again.

v4.1.5 is up on 1st post.
 

6.5.Xs v4.1.5 are up in 1st post. 6.5s will be uploading overnight and hopefully will be ready in the morning.

I added the CHT Messaging Widget page file into the ROM. So now if you remove the Shark messaging pages cab or any messaging page mod, you won't need to run the stock cab, it will revert back to stock.

fixing to flash 4.1,hey sharkie got a small favor to ask,can you post the last mmtask manager cab you had in the rom before it was removed,the one you skinned in black and blue i think were the colors,i may have a old rom to flash with it but wanted to ask if you still had around first,thanks man in advance and will report how the rom is performing shortly

I suppose those are the only diffs, non co0kie users need not apply if using 4.1 6.5.x test ROM? BTW everything is running smooth and slick as expected.

Yep, the only difference b/w v4.1 and v4.1.5 is that I added that CHT Messaging Page file to the ROM, I changed the 'Internet Sharing' icon and I changed the splash screens. No big changes that would be worth re-flashing for if one were already on v4.1.

@ Everyone,

I'm really happy with v4.1.5 (v4.1)! I think this ROM is a rock. I think the newer Sense is a tiny bit smoother, faster and seems a bit more stable than 2019 Sense. I believe that most, if not all, of the major issues have been addressed and fixed.

I also just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who has helped me and pushed me to further my ROM cooking skills. I feel like this ROM has become a ROM for the people! It's been molded by your suggestions, comments, concerns and insights into the masterpiece that I feel it is now. You all ROCK! :headbang:

A general FYI to everyone,

I put in a request to be able to upload *.7z (7zip) files and according to Mindfrost they have now implented this feature! He said he'll post an image up for it shortly, but it should already work. That should make things a little easier for some of us! :)

Im still on your older rom I think 4.0.

Is opera 9.7 new in the rom 4.1.5 as a default? or is it just in the rom.

I wasn't here all weekend so I missed all the activity and it looks like you put out 2 new roms.

Opera 9.7 is set as the default browser. IE will be the default if you remove Opera.

But your skin for the windows messaging is different then the htc messenger.

You have the colors mixed up.

In htc messenger the other person is green and my bubbles are blue but in WinMo messenger. The other person has the blue bubbles and I have the green.

I dont know if you changed this but its no big deal.

If you could change the silver background in Windows messenger to the same white one on HTC messenger I think it would look a little cleaner.

yeah, the way the files were both facing naturally is like they are in the ROM. I thought about that after the fact, but it was a pain in the ass to skin them. It took a lot of trial and error, erasing, resizing to get everything to line up and look good and I just didn't feel like doing it again. It would not be as easy as just flipping the images horizontally. They would then need to be resized for the font to fit inside correctly.

It doesn't bother me too much. Sometimes though it does get a little confusing. it takes me a few seconds to realize whats going on. Because I use HTC messenger most of the time.

Also I was in a remote location over the weekend and I believe it was roaming I saw this globe with 3 dots in the taskbar and I had reception.
So I have a few questions

1. So I was curious does this icon mean Im roaming?

2. Also I dont have roaming on my plan.Am I going to get charged for this?

3. do you have sometype of setting that hides roaming. If not is there a way to shut off roaming so it only uses sprints network?

FYI. I had no reception but once I did a prl update with that verison prl 60675 I had full reception.

So it looks like it does work. But im scared of roaming charges. I checked my bill online and it doesn't mention any roaming charges. and I saw that saturday.

I know you said it works on version "4.1" I flashed version 4.1.5 thinking your s2w weather cab(http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/2057065-post1767.html) would work on that one and it doesn't. because on your changelong in the first post it mentions that you changed.

But after I installed the cab its the same problem so you must have not reverted back to Calendar Tab 2016 for 4.1.5 just for 4.1.?

But I want to keep 4.1.5 because it has the new opera 9.7 why im dying to give it a shot. Plus you fixed the screen shots. (havn't tested it yet but im sure its fixed)

As far as roaming. I didn't think that was a ROM thing, but a plan thing. As I understand it, on Sprint,there is no roaming (no roaming charge) anywhere in the continental US. By default I have the ROM set up to download data and such even when 'roaming'. You can change all those to not do that if you want.

And I'm sure that I did still have the newer older Calendar tab in v4.1.5. I removed the old one from my kitchen and did not put it back in. I'll try that cab out again later on to verify whether or not it works.

Also, it's been my experience with Sprint that any new charges show up online almost instantly. At the very latest they would show up the next day. I think that if this occured on Sat. and no new charges have showed up online in your Sprint account by today, then you should be good to go. You could always call to make sure.

Shark, does the sprint rom need provisioning, or is it good to go right from flash. Also for some reason i can't get any rightones to work. I changed to different ones, and is show them, but when the phone rings it's like a default ringtone, any thoughts.

You don't NEED to run provisioning. I often go a couple of days without running it and everything works fine for me. But if you usually run a carrier cab, then yes, you will still need to run it with the Sprint ROM. I did not include a Sprint specific carrier cab in the Sprint ROM because there was some minor issue it caused. I can't remember exactly what it was. It's been a long time since I've thought about it.

No clue on the ringtone issue, mine seem to work fine.

I figured out what the ringtone issue was. I remove the wm start menu to free up ram, which works great. I have 109 free ram now, but I guess it has some draw backs, since the custom ringtones won't work.

i have only ran across a single issue on 4.1.5 so far and its not a big deal,the only issue i have is when in wm msg'n if you go to close the msg the box that gives you the option to save to drafts,ect. pops up for a brief milisecond and then its gone,sorry :( its the only bug i found and it may just be me as i see no mention of it lol

I'm not having any issues with WM Messaging at all. Are you saying that when you press the menu button, the menu pops up only for a second and then is gone, or are you saying that when you try to close WM Messaging the menu appears for no reason just for a sec. and then is gone? Either way, I'm not getting either of those issues. I just tried to close WM Messaging and open and close the menu and go into the submenus and everything checks out fine here.

no try to typing in a few letters or words and just press the x on the far right,with words typed in it should ask you if you would like to save msg to drafts since you didn't send the msg,no menus
