let me try an explain better bout that ss, cause i noticed this after a flash while everything was still stock.

if you are on the home tab in portrait then slide out kb, the slider tabs are aligned fine as normal. but if you are on any tab other than the home tab, in portrait, then slide kb out the slider tabs are missed aligned. for example the ss... i went to the music tab in portrait then i slide out kb. normally the slider will retract so hit it to expand the slider and the tabs will show misaligned making it hard to go to the next desirable tab. this happens on every tab except when on home tab.

can any1 else test this out

I see what you mean about the slider being slightly funky when first sliding into landscape. It seems to only happen if you immediately try to slide as soon as you open the keyboard. If I let it settle for a second or two before sliding all the tabs work fine.

I'd assumed that this landscape glitch was something that was normal in the newer Sense builds on our phones. I only started noticing it since using Sense 2019.

I'll see if there's anything that can be done about it...

thats funny cause even if i let it settle it doesnt straighten itself out. to fix it i have 2 close kb to go back 2 portrait then go home and then i can open kb and slide 2 the tabs like normal.

this is just something i noticed threw my testing the "corners" (of the rom) not something i noticed in everyday use. my daily use i would only slide kb open on selected tab then close kb 2 go back 2 portrait not slide 2 another tab in landscape. so its not a big concern, really. you got the rom really solid so the only things left 2 report are small graphic type bugs otherwise it seem like a ghost town in here cause no problems

Agreed Kjhadfield, no problems here to report. ROCK SOLID they way it is supposed to work. Haven't had any issues. Haven't been able to recreate your slider problem (don't run co0kie not sure if you do?)

..side note, Sharkie, have a UCWeb 7.4 cab from 11/04 (noticed it after browser asked me if I wanted to update tonight) checked the one in SD card and it was labeled 7.4. Any reason you prefer the older version? Also I hate to even ask but think I remember you asking about icons previously, I also use Opera mini too (probably others) and use it in the top row of my quick links. It's the only icon that doesn't say "Sharkie" Any way you make one of your polished icons in a Opera mini add on cab?

Not a big deal if you can't, don't have time,ect. Here's the CAB just in case. Just hate that it makes a big pimple on your work.

No, there's no reason that I'm using an older version. That was that newest version last time I checked, but that's been a while now I guess. I'll go ahead and update that.

Sure thing on making the Opera Mini icon too!

This is the longest running rom ive ever had using Sense.

I know ive said it before but ill say it again. Its running really solid sharkie.

I did however notice a slight problem with keyboard lighting up when sliding out during the night.

I think if you wake the phone up at night. The physical keys light up and if I slide out the keyboard while the physical 4 keys on the phone are still lit the keyboard wont light up.

I have to first wake the phone up. Wait unitil it the lights shut off on the physical keys then slide out the keyboard. For the keyboard to light up.

I did do a hard reset and it didn't fix the problem. and I didn't install any cabs other then the sprint provisioning

Can anyone see if they can duplicate this?

I get the same thing. I'll look into it, but it probably won't be changed before the next release which will hopefully be tonight, unless it's a really easy fix... Thanks for pointing it out. I'd noticed some funniness with the lighting but I couldn't ever figure out when it happened. Maybe it will be as simple as a reg setting.

Sharkie I had the same charging prob with the newest rom so i just flashed the stock Sprint rom b4 selling it. Thanks for all the help and email. I just dont understand why the 2 most recent sharkie roms wont charge from the wall. Instead asks how id like to sync my phone...lol. I told the young lady to bring it back by when/if i find a fix for this issue.

Its not always a rom issue.

Maybe the charging port is failing. Just happened to mine actually I had asurion replace it.. It will charge when its on but wont charge when the battery is dead. along with other misc. charging problems. Like it will only charge on new cables. and usb's. Its not an immediate failure. Its just signs of wear and tear.

How old is the phone.

It wont charge on this rom but will on all the others i've tried as of late. Sharkies is by far the best rom so i wanted to sell with his rom. Since the phone wont charge and she was gonna have to go to sprint to get it activated and such, didnt want them to refuse her service because of a flashed rom not stock for her charging issue..lol.

Sharkie I dont know if this is an issue with everyone else because I removed and changed from ucweb to Opera 10 beta 3 as my default browser. But none of my bookmarks are showing the screen caps for the shortcuts. Both on the internet tab and if its widget.

Do I have to keep UCweb if I want this feature?

Did you try removing nueBattery2? So far as I've heard, if you remove nueBattery2, you won't have any charging issues. People have tested it out. Everyone had said this issue was fixed in v3.4

I've read a little bit about this feature and from what I can tell it doesn't work with UC Web. I'm not sure why even after you installed Opera it still won't work. I'll have to read up more on that.

Again though, I don't want to put off the 2021 release because of this. So it may have to wait. Hopefully I can find a fix that you'll be able to implement after the fact.

i never thought of that...cause i do have cht2. i didnt think it would be related but i can kinda see it now, works on home tab slide out (which is cht) but not other tabs. maybe it is cause of the glitch/misalign

are you referring 2 the website screenshots that should show up as bookmark after the site fully loads? i have noticed this as well after removing uc an set default as opera 10beta3.

You have to load them up(fully) in IE, then they show in quick links and on the web browser tab

It's actually good that she'll be running stock for a couple of days. Otherwise she would just think it was a nice phone and not fully appreciate what a custom ROM is and can be. :)

Yeah, I'm working on a change long. No, not much else new beside 2021. New splash screens and new Wallpaper and the newer icons already included along with "Remove Programs" in System Tools.

So a few words on version 4.0...

Why version 4.0 when it seems so similar? Primarily because there have been significant advances with things like the battery.dll and video quality and a few other biggies since version 3.0. This is also a new version of Sense. Even though I agree that it's the S.O.S.

So choosing a wallpaper is one of the things that kept me from releasing this a couple of days ago. I was trying to find a new one on zedge.net and the like and nothing was standing out at me. I'd always liked this one, and just kept coming back to it. It is where I'd like to be, sitting in a chair on one of those porches overlooking that gorgeous ocean and sunset. Everytime I see this pic it gives me a tiny bit of peace inside.
I also just thinks it makes a great background. It adds some color, but too much. It's a lighter picture, but you can read all the font just fine.


In my quest to make the ROM more user friendly without CHT, I added a Weather Animation On-Off toggle switch in the Action Links folder. When you're not using CHT and you change wallpaper the weather will always start. The only way I knew to turn it off was to go in the registry. That's a pain in the ass.

So, I made this mortscript to toggle it on and off. I still have work to do on it though. At the moment, if you use it with CHT it will immediately stop the weather. If you're not using CHT and you press it, it will stop the weather, but the weather will remain on the screen frozen. You simply need to go to another tab and then go back to the home tab and the weather will be gone and off. I'm not sure how CHT manages to get the Home tab to automatically refresh itself like that. I've seen a couple of references to some apps that I may be able to link to that mortscript to make it automatically refresh as well, but that would have held things up even longer. I would also like to figure out how to link two different icons to my mortscript so that I can use one for when weather animation is ON and one for when it's OFF. Again, I'm sure I can figure it out, it just would have held things up longer.

I've been running this new Sense for a few days now and I'm fairly certain that I've worked all the kinks out. I, however, am seasoned enough to know better. So please let me know of any new issues, if any, that you may find.

I added a bit of 'sharkieness' to my splash screens. I can post the other one for those that like that one better. Let me know.

I am aware that the 'Internet" title font on the Internet Tab is slightly blurred or overlapped, I'm not sure which. I've dug around in the files and I can't figure out why this is happening. This first happened with 2019. kjhadfield provided a transparent internet search bar that worked great with 2019. Apparently it doesn't like 2021. As soon as I find a transparent mod for this that doesn't cause this text issue, I'll post it here. If any of you find one first, please do the same. Thanks!

I loaded up the rom, which looks great, but while trying to install sashimi, i keep getting "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions." Any clue on why I can't install sashimi?

Dammit, I meant to look into Sashimi and just forgot. I don't have a clue right now, but I'll research it and hopefully come up with something, sorry. Were you able to install Sashimi on previous ROMs?

I know, I hate when this site is down like that. Sharkie, I just tried using my jawbone and voice dialing, but it's not working. The bluetooth works, but just not voice dialing, any ideas.

No, I don't have any. I've tested it and called via Voice Command on my bluetooth headset. Have you tried different settings in 'Bluetooth Settings'? I think I had to adjust something there before it worked. Later on today when I'm home, I'll figure it out and post back...
