Yeah, like steveo said it's installed as a cab, so you can remove it easily.

I also didn't notice any real differences in the newer Sense which why I haven't put anything together with it yet. I felt it was more important to work on my icons and other things first.

More Sprint Stuff??
 

Can I get some Sprint users opinions on whether or not you would like to see more Sprint stuff in the Sprint ROMs, like Sprint Music and the Sprint Store and whatever else I can't think of right now?

Yes you can think of freshening up the Sense slider,
with new icons like what you did with rom..
Like the calenedar tab as exapmle...
Theres a mod to put the "day" of week as well as the "number"..
Also:
Here is a small collection of Sense Slider cabs that all have at least one or two nice elements as examples.
They are from various places and I take no credit for them.
The cabs state source when installing, so if interested in authors work, look there.

alright, im gonna sit down and write a list of apps/icons. i never really liked the ireflect but the way you did these new ones look fresh ( the blue backround w/ a oversized 'floating' like icon )

none of these have to be original app icons but whatever looks good

guess thats all i noticed for icons. i do think a new fresh slider is due ( i havent seen a new slider for awhile) do you remember vin's volume control sound mix he made? have you thought bout using a "sharkie"/ custom sound for volume levels?

stability and speed of rom are all great and if there wasnt really any change in newer sense then i say what you have is a rock and maybe fill in a few of the smaller cracks ( i havent seen major bugs needing fixed on 3.4 ) dont know how hard it would be or how many but the old i reflect icons stand out to the newly fresh style, but if all were like the new it would look fresh all along the board. either way its still a great job

even thou im on sprint i always dl generic just cause i dont use/need the sprint extras. i just install the sprint provisioning on the generic

My vote would be no, don't use any of the above. Shure you would rather have all the extra time to tweak things more important to you. Thanks for considering us though.

One that I like to use sharkie is Google voice It was on formulas rom. I use my google voice number to call certain people so they dont have my real number. haha (Dont hate the player hate the game :twisted:)

Also few problems im having with he rom are. When I slide out Youtube the graphics get all messed up. When I go back to portrait it fixes itself.

And for some reason my Phone shortkey and Menu shortkey on the phone dont do anything. But I dont know if that was the result of a cab I installed.

I really dont want to hardreset but I may have to. is anyone else having these issues?

^ you mean softkeys or hardkeys for phone n menu? they seem to work fine for both here. sometimes i have to hit it twice, maybe i didnt touch the screen hard eenough but seems normal. i also havent changed much from default just added a few cabs

Im talking about the physical keys on the phone.

"Phone", "Menu", "Back button" "End call"

The phone and menu keys dont work but the back button and end call work.

If they work for you I must have corrupted something.

Bingo! All is good here in that area. I'm positive others would have mentioned such a glaring issue, if it were one that were inherent in the ROM.

If I'm watching a video and I open up the keyboard the video will glitch for a sec or two, but then it works normally.

As far as your buttons, have you messed with Keyboard Config. at all? If you set any button to, let's say Long Press to an app, it will no longer do it's orginal action when you just click that button. You have to go back in and set that button to do the long press action you want and to the original short press action, if that makes sense...

I've never used it, but have you ever used it on a ROM that didn't have Titanium. Maybe that's why it doesn't work. If you want to post the cab, I'll have a look inside it at some point when I have time.

i think the video switch to lanscape glitch is normal, have noticed this not just in youtube, even coreplayer has glitch with the switch but like sharkie this irons out after a few sec. i think it has to do with our limited hardware speed n such, like its trying to catch up

What Im talking about is if you open up youtube app then you simply slide out the keyboard there is a glitch to the graphics.

Or even if you open up the app then select the search then slide out the keyboard to type in the search bar you'll get the same glitch.

Open app>Slide out keyboard forcing the app to go into landscape mode.

By default in the ROM that value is set to "0". Change it to "1". Obviously, I'll be including this tweak from now on and have already put it in my kitchen. Thanks for pointing it out! :)

Hadn't noticed this problem, did notice that the lag is gone... that was as far as I got with youtube. Tried before and after with fix and it does work now.

hey sharkie do you think it would be possible to put a spell check option in your htc messenger like there is in the winmo messenger.

No other rom has it either just curious if it can be done?

btw. A hard reset fixed the call and menu button so Im good. Rom is still running like a champ.

Sharkie could you possibly do me a favor. I have a young lady coming to purchase my TP2 with your great rom. Is it possible that you could email me a list of whats included in the newest rom so I can teach her how to use the phone easier. This is her very 1st smart phone and I want her to feel comfortable. I'll be doing any updates when the become available from you. Also is the 6.5 more stable than 6.5.X? I've always used the later roms from you so I don't know about 6.5. Yeah, I'll do that. I won't have time today, but I will tomorrow at some point.

People claim that 6.5 is more stable, but I believe that is mostly to do with "X" not natively closing programs in 6.5.X. With "uTask" included in the latest 6.5.X versions, the "X" button does work to close programs.

There are a couple of graphical issues with my 6.5.X like the incoming call screen being slightly too low, but those are minor issues compared to the benefits of the finger friendliness of 6.5.X.

So, all in all I say that 6.5.X is as stable as 6.5. This is of course just my opinion. No doubt others would disagree.

What dialer do you use sharkie? I've edited the Sprint dialer in the Sprint Sense 2.5 ROM so that the scroll bar is removed and the incoming call screen is positioned correctly. The only thing I can't figure out how to fix is the keypad icon in the softkeybar. I've found how to fix it for Leo dialers, but could not find the same values in the Sprint dialer.

This cab should make the Internet Tab search bar in landscape transparent, for those of you that haven't already found it. I've had this for a while and just forgot to post it.

Working on finishing up the Sense 2021 ROM. Should have something up sometime today, probably towards that latter half of the day.

+1 Sharkie. The ROM has been fantastic. Battery great too (still running without Nuebattery) for over 2 weeks without any issues. Looking forward to trying the next one with 2021 Sense.

Does this rom have stealth tether built in, or does it need cabbed? Was looking to try rom out, but definitely need stealth tether, just didn't want to install cab if it's all ready in the rom.

Sharkie probably already has it in, but it's just registry entries. Installing a cab won't do anything if the entries are there and will put them there if they are not.

Wow, don't know if anyone else floats between threads but just had to chime in give KUDOS to EVERYONE here for being on the same page and Sharkie and for ALL working towards the same end goal to have the best performance possible. We all know what we are getting into or we wouldn't do it. So why complain? Just saying thanks. Did a PIM backup in hopes for a new flash LOL! On vacation this week, plenty of time for flashing.

Yeah, stealth tethering should be good to go.

I probably wont' have anything up till Tues. night. I was trying to get it together yesterday, but little things that I wanted to do kept popping up. Anyway, I think I got them all figured out now. Got a long day of work today so I won't have time to finalize them, but tomorrow evening should be free.

Oh, and someone, forgive me for not remembering who, has brought up an inability to use Voice Command with a bluetooth headset. One of the things that held me up yesterday was digging around for my Jawbone that I haven't used in ages and then trying to figure out how to pair it, etc... So I finally got it all up and running and Voice Command works through the Bluetooth headset. Can anyone else verify this?
