speaking of tomtom someone pleaseeeeeeeee help...My tomtom for my car will not connect to the tp2 at all for connecting it through bluetooth. something about the required features is missing and i just cant figure it out. I remember it connected once..(some other rom i tried but forgot it b.c eveything else sucked on it lol) but it connected but the only problem with that one was that tomtom could not find the data settings for the tp2.

About my .MP4 playing issue...

I tested some other file i personally recoded in MP4 and they work perfectly. It has to be something related to other movies i got already encoded in MP4 and they get stuck.

I would consider this solved as well, because i cannot say is a ROM related issue :)

i have tomtom 630 or whatever and have tried bt connect b4 but never had luck. i think maybe its the bt in our tp2

If you get Active Sync Error related to DirectPush. error code 0x85010013. The following patch may solve the problem.

Fixed!!! error 0x85010013 for WM6.1 or WM6.5 - xda-developers

I love the rom but UCWEB its horrible. I kept on tyring to use the search function and it keeps on giving me 404 error. When I finially did get it to work it directed me to a different page then the one i requested.

Its such a poor substitute for opera IMO. It took me about 30 mins to search for a movie listing that it would have taken less then one min in opera.

Its doesnt matter. Use it or dont. You must not of seen it is un installable via remove programs. Then you can choose your fav browser. Thats his fav browser, and to save space removd opera. This way the user can choose the fav an not worry bout lost space caused by multiple browsers. I was getting the same error when i was testing so took it out an use opera 10beta3

I had the same error 404. First time I had it on one of Sharkies ROMs. Running the latest generic 6.5.x.. As you, I did get it to work. As for the benefits, it's all personal preference. You just have suffer through the try out phase to find them. I like UCWeb for this site especially. It's much easier to navigate,post and hit the thanks button. I prefer Opera mini for most other quick mindless surfing but I always end up having to resend a lot using mini here.

+1 UC Web is great for this site, much faster than Opera. This is where I come most on my phone. This and XDA, which UC Web is also much faster at.

I love the new 3.4 ROM! I have had no trouble so far with the new rev. mp4's appear to play as they should, the phone seems to have a new life. It's quick and appears to be well thought out. I can't answer to anything to do with texting, I don't use it, but everything else appears to running well.

What Opera is it that you want to use? Going into that Opera's settings and choosing it to be the default browser doesn't work?

In any event, you can try importing these reg entries. I know they work for Opera 10, if that's what you want to use...

I made a cab of them too, if that's easier for you.

How are you liking it otherwise? There have been several improvements since you last poked your head in. All you've commented on is the lack of Opera, which I think most consider a plus anyway.

Also, one more thing about Opera. You could try replacing the references to the Opera*****.exe in the posted app.reg to whatever the .exe of Opera mini is named. That might work as far as making Mini the default.
It seems odd to me that you would comment on the lack of Opera as a negative thing, yet it's not the browser you use anyway. You remember that Opera10 couldn't be removed in previous versions of the ROM right? So, you were stuck with 2 Operas. I fail to see how that's a good thing.

HERE is a post about setting Opera Mini as the default. I haven't tried it and the guy that started the thread doesn't ever confirm yes or no, but you could give it a shot. Apparently mortscript needs to be involved with Mini for some reason?? I don't know, but every site I went to about it mentions needing mortscript. Maybe therein lies the difficutly?

Well Ive been on formulas rom for over a month and he has mini. So Im so use to it.

Dude to be honest I absolutly love your roms, Everything from the graphics to the speed. Moving from tab to tab is effortlessly. Navigating through my SD Card which is full of crap really haha is a sinch it doesn't lag much. Its amazing really. It has just the right amount of eye candy. I left my phone on a full charge and its still at 40 % roughly 14 hours ago. All that along with the fact that you are the most helpful chef I've came across on this site, Always fast to respond and help. The fact that you made a cab without me requesting it simply to make me happy speaks volumes of your character. So with all that said using your roms are a no brainer!

But If you remember last time I was here I left because for some strange reason I wasn't getting any signal where I work. Where I normally get full bars. I dont think we were ever able to figure it out. I downloaded the rom last night before I left and I used it all afternoon (away from work) I got great reception and no dropped calls. However, back at work my phone keeps on going on airplane mode and search for a signal.

So while I do love your rom and the feel of your rom. I can't use it because of the innability of recieving a signal at work. Which I desperatly need.

That's understandable. I'll think on this for a bit. Right off, I can't think of a reason why my ROM would affect reception. I mean, usually that's a radio thing and my ROM does not touch the radio. We'll see... something may magically occur to me one day. I appreciate you giving it another go. I'll let you know should I have any revelations on the reception matter. :)

Well If you could look into it the sprint stock rom 6.5 gives me full reception.

Is there anything different from the radio in that rom vs yours?

I would willing to flash a radio To keep your rom because I think its def. worth it! I dont know how to go about it I know theres a radio thread in this section but Im not too confident in doing so Im afraid I may bick my phone.

UPDATE:

The phone gave me an error of "Cannot dial #777 connection lost) or some b.s. like that then the phone shut down!

I turned the phone back on and sent a text and now it has full bars!? But for the past 4 hours it had none! and It was stuck on airplane mode and switched between EV and 1x with the globe running.

I have no idea why this happend. But im afraid to touch the phone because it may freak out again. :evil4: lol J/k

Well it looks like I spoke too soon.... Fu#k I hate this!!! I installed a swype cab and restart the phone and its back to its P.O.S. reception...

Sharkie... Loving the rom... running 3.4 6.5.x and have not had any issues, (knock on wood)... great job...

ModMyPPC, have you tried the carrier provisioning under system tools. I know you have the sprint version, but running that sometimes helps...

you also may want to run the "update PRL" which is under settings -> system..

don't know if these will help but maybe worth a try...

I'm on day#2 with Sharkie's rom and am loving it too. A few minor issues but overall it's much better than stock. One thing I can't seem to figure out is how to update the PRL. I didn't see it under "settings -> system". Also, what does the Carrier Provisioning program do when you select your carrier and hit "commit"?

I also thought about mentioning that, but I assumed that he'd already done that. Perhaps not.

Carrier Provisioning is simply a package of Carrier cabs. I'm on Sprint, so I choose Sprint and hit commit. All that does is start the installation of the Sprint Carrier cab. If you choose Verizon, it will start the installation of the Verizon Carrier cab. From this point you will be at the usual beginning of a cab install where you can cancel out if you need to. I'm not sure about the others since I've only ever installed the Sprint version, but the Update PRL and Update Profile are part of the Sprint Carrier cab. After you install the Sprint cab, go to Settings\System and you will find the Update PRL and Update Profile links.

Oh, after the Carrier cab installs, make sure you soft reset like it's prompts you to.

As a general FYI to anyone who may not have been aware,
After installing a Carrier cab, you may need to reconnect to the newly established Carrier. I usually don't have to, but every once in a while I do. To do this, go to Settings\Connections: Manage existing connections. On the Modem Page (the one that it will open up on) you should see your carrier name. In my case, it says Sprint. Long press the carrier name (right click) and hit connect.

I'm assuming that the Slingplayer link is just sitting on the first page of the Start Menu? If so, using File Explorer, go to My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs. Find the link to Slingplayer and press down on it until the menu pops up. Choose cut, then go into the \Windows\Start Menu\Multimedia folder. Once inside, hit Menu on the bottom right and choose edit at the very bottom, you'll have to scroll the menu up to see it. After choosing "edit" then choose "paste". Thus, you have moved the link out of the beginning of the Start Menu and into the Multimedia folder.

Just cut and paste the link! ;)

Sorry for being such a dumba$$ I assumed since it was a sprint rom that the sprint carrier cab would be installed automatically.

Well I did install the carrier cab it installed successfully to device.

I went to the manage existing connections and on the modem page it does show sprint.

Well I tried to update prl and it gave me the error

"PRL could not be updated. Please try again later. If the problem persists, you may need to conatact customer service

Error code: 1012"

Then I tried updating the pofile and I got this error

"The profile update could not be completed. Please try again later. If the problem persists, you may need to contact customer service.

Error code: 1012"

Yes I did. I read your post and made sure I did.

After the soft reset thats when I checked my Modem settings.

I removed "SharkieRom tm" from the personalizer. Then Restarted Upon wake up I had full bars for about 2 mins but now its back to the globe and when I tap the taskbar it says sprint but the tower has no bars.

I couldn't update the prl but I followed the instruction on this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...-3-2011-a.html

and got a connected signal with full bars. with sprint.

Few mins later NO CONNECTION AGAIN!

I know it sucks, but it sounds like you need to do what you were saying and HR, then try installing Sprint Carrier cab, update prl etc..., then start installing your apps and see at what point things get messed up. If it's worth it to you, that is.

Thanks but I had enough, I've been playing with this phone all day and I can't get it to work.

Its not that it happens after I install cabs It comes from a fresh flash. but for the weekend I have to go back to the dependable rom that ive been using. It just sucks because I wanted to stay with sense for a while. Most other chefs rom simply dont have the pazazz yours do..

My last option may be to flash stock rom and then flash yours. to see if maybe some sort of setting will stick. idk. I have no idea how roms work so im just spit balling here

Question... how on God's green earth can I remove nuebattery2? I can't find it in my "remove programs" list and don't see it in my windows folder through total commander (not even sure if that's where I should be looking for it)... is there a .cab out there to uninstall it?

pd. I have tried searching for this (google, ppc forum) and it's been hard, came across your post... it's on a 200+ page thread so I'm sorry if the response to my question is somewhere hidden in those +200 pages, I haven't found it...

If you want a Super simple CAB to move programs/icons use JSPA program manager. Couple clicks and it will move anything from the start menu to a destination folder. You can even move it as well. A must.

hmmm you mean on the nuebattery2? well it says v1.1..... I should mention that I did not really install it... it came within a Tweaks .cab that I installed a couple of days ago... so I didn't really had the option to keep it or not.

RE-DOWNLOAD sharkie rom...
THEN flash Sharkie rom.

ALSO:
Goto:
Settings - Phone - bottom tab "Network" -
then press dropdown box & select "CDMA only"...
install carrier cab..

Problem should be solved 8-[

just open nuebattery settings AND "uncheck" boxes..
