Yeah, I saw both of those two cabs yesterday in my searching. I think I'm good with nuebattery being installed as a cab though. I feel like this way everyone's a winner.
I tried the TP2 1% cab and it seemed to work fine.

Hello Sharkie I would like to know if Task 29 will need to be run if I lets say hard reset my phone.

For instance, it needs to be run after many rom flashes that the "blocks" that the roms take up may not be replaced with the new roms files and task 29 solves this.

When I hard reset wipe clean stock rom, does it like reinstall it or does it ONLY wipe all the registry entries but keeps the rom?
I mean does it create those "blocks" of the stock rom when you hard reset and then resintalls the clean stock rom and has a problem overwriting those "blocks" over time? (If you know what I mean). Or does this only apply to custom roms ONLY when you switch them (since they use different data in those "blocks")?

Basically my questions is, if I keep hard resetting and wiping clean my stock rom (Since I have had failures after installing various apps), will it become slower and buggy and thus needing task 29 to fix it?

Icons look great. Being the perfectionist you are...noticed today that facebook, sprint nav, sprint tv, and call history tabs are misligned under the slider bubble. I installed a transparent cab and just asking before removing to test. 29007 sprint version. Any one who can check for me?

You mean a transparent slider? Can you post a screenie? I'm on 6.5 right now, so I can't test, but If I can see it then I can make new ones with the proper positioning and upload a cab of them and also fix them in my kitchen. I guess I just never noticed because I haven't used a transparent slider in a long long long long time.

Wait, actually build no. wouldn't matter when it comes to this. If you'ved not posted a screenie in a bit, I'll find a trans. cab and try it out for myself...

You will need another cab for the 1%, if you uninstall nueBattery2.

I made cab that will add a link to "Remove Programs" in the Tools folder in the start menu. Remove Programs, like Memory, was one of those things I used often enough and wished that it could be set as a quicklink. Well, now it can :)

So if you are talking about the slider when you say bubble, I installed an older transparent slider mod. Are you talking about the misalignment of the icons on top of the slider with the ones sitting in the slider tray? If so, there's no way to fix that. Usually most slider cabs will include the top of slider icons made transparent since that's the only way to fix that issue. If I made the ones on top even with the ones on the bottom, the ones on top of the slider would not be centered in the slider and would look horrible when a transparent slider was not in use.

Just flashed the latest offering. Even though I never had any battery issues, I wandered about that extra cheapo charger that hasn't been working and all the previous posts regarding charging issues. NueBattery removed and now charger is working again.

Finally, several horrid days later just got home with my "new" TP2 from sprint. I got a refurb this time, kinda :sadface: but oh-well.

Downloading the newest ROM you have out will let you know what I think once it loads :D

hey sharkie i was task 29'ing in between flashes and i completed the task 29 and it went all black screen that says Touch Pro 2. normally i hold down power, volume down and click soft reset button and bootloader comes up. but nothing is happening right now. any suggestions?

thats whats supposed to happen,your flashing a "blank" rom to completely erase the previous files from the phone so it wont go past the touch pro 2 boot screen,your doing correctly by putting it in to bootloader,now just get your latest downloaded rom and flash that sucker!! :thumbleft:

to get into bootloader just hold down the volume down key while soft reseting th phone until your tri color screen appears

the problem is that i can't get back into bootloader. volume down and soft reset doesnt work, power/volume down/soft reset doesn't work. nothing is working to get me into bootloader. when i hold volume down and soft reset it just vibrates and goes blank for a sec and then right back to tough pro 2 screen. when i hold power/volume down/soft reset the whole screen goes black (as if the phone is off)... normally the screen goes blank for a split second and then right to tri color bootloader screen

Havent tried either but i was watching a movie via htc player, whatever it is that plays vids by default before coreplayer or the like is installed. Prior i was getting laggy vid with outta sync audio. And now its great, vid wasnt choppy or slow and right at sync with audio.

New ROM came down the pipe! New Sense came with it!

So far the only real difference I see is the Settings Tab. I've only been playing with it for a few min. though so there may be more. Of course, it has some fixes to be worked out first, but I should have something up soon!

noticed another graphic bug in landscape along w/ the before mentioned weather and internet tabs. when you slide kb open in any tab except home then tap the retractable slider the tabs are misaligned.

i did notice w/ that weather graphic bug if you go to the tab at first look its not there but once you go to the tab it does an update and then after the update is complete then it appears. not sure if that will help or not

Perhaps I am asking an inappropriate question, if so my apologies. Is it possible to have ringtones and alarm tones installed from a cab instead of from the rom so the tones that aren't used can be removed?

You can do it before you flash using HtcRIE

My first instinct is to say no, I'm not going to do that. However, after having thought about it a little more, this is definitely a possibility. It would allow me to place them somewhere other than \Windows as well, which would help the ROMs stability and what not. We'll see... But, this:

Although, I'm on Sense 2021 at the moment, so that may be it... But post a screenie, if you can.

Hi Sharkie,

First of all many thx and infinite Kudos for this great job. This ROM is by far my fav and I am stunned byt the speed you have been able to pack in it, considering all the niceties are on.

About the Media improvement:

My version now is working like a charm. Youtube is perfectly fluid and in sync. Media player movies streamed from my network server look great, it looks like a better full screen and doesn t buffer too often either. Amazing.

Only 2 issues:
1 - It looks like there is a wrong setting on how to open .WMV. When i try to open that, it opens the Gallery instead, displaying my pictures (...?). Is there any simple way to edit in regedit a key for the .WMV behavior opening Media Player?
However I tested the movies opening "from" media player and they play great, so the improvement is working

2 - Opening .MP4 movies, the player starts but freeze on the "loading circle" while audio starts correctly ut video doesn t come up.

Thank you so much for all of your work. if you have quick fixes for this stuff i would prefer that better than re-flash all again :)

I'm a little under the weather today and am feeling worse as the day progresses. When I get home from work, I'm probably gonna hit the sack and it'll probably be like that for the next few days. So, it won't be soon, but I'll let you know when I have something for you to test out.

The easiest way to change extension association on WM :) You may want to consider to add it to your tool pack, is very useful :)

I fixed the little mistake and I can confirm that the ext .WMV was linked to HTCgallery (or something similar, can t recall).
Now video are starting perfectly in media player.

.MP4 issue not solved yet.

I can play mp4 no prob. I go file ex. Tap on a mp4 then player opens an loads fine with no freezing

From my understanding assisted dialing adds the 1 in front or uses your local area if left off. Don't have my phone on me so I can not test.

I finally decided to try a different rom and Sharkie's seems to be the best one out there. One issue that I can't seem to get resolved is how to put email messages on the storage card. The attachments save fine. With the stock 6.5 rom, I was able to change the PropertyPath key in the registry to "\Storage Card\Email" and it worked great. Anyone have any suggestions?

It doesn't say that my dialer anywhere... Have you player around in the phone settings at all? "CDMA Services" in phone settings looks like it might have something to do with that, possibly. I'm not sure. When I have more time, I'll learn more about assisted dialing and hopefully have more of an answer for you.

I've try the 6.5.X Generic SharkieROM v3.0 and 3.4
It look super cool and really eye cathing.
Put I have 2 bug to repport and I would like to know if I'm alone.

1° On the Home tab and calander tab, only my recurent event appear, My regular meeting disapear.
2° I have some king of lagging on my GPS signal wiht TomTom7.

Put I really like your Rom and I will check for a update.

Havent had a hiccup on new 3.4 yet. Suits my everyday needs just fine ! MMS, GPS, UCWEB all flawless. Hoping new Sense build keeps our WM phones out of extinction a little longer :)

2. i think i read all gps like tomom, garmin, an such all have lag. how much lag, cause 2-5 sec may be normal although unwanted but anything more may be extreme, i dont know just my guess at it. i read way back on xda a gps driver or similar to reduce gps lag for multiple devices an think ours was 1, cant remember. try that, search gps lag on xda. dont know if that will help but maybe. even check out a tom tom forum and see if others see similar lag or if its been mentioned
