I just flashed the version from 5/30 and had a simple question. how do I keep a program from going in to stand by? with the stock ROM, I set hitting X to close the program but now, I dont see an X to close, for example, Total Commander.

that version will be fine..it will just lack MMS bcos of conflict with HTC messaging

This is clean, fast, and certainly something that will breathe new life into the venerable WinMo platform....
