Back to Splash Screen for a sec.

I flashed an Orginal TP2 Splash screen from the thread that ai6908 linked (thanks) and then I flashed my own splash screen that I made based off of the info from the his thread that he linked (thanks again ) All is well except that now I have two splash screens, mine shows first and the original TP2 one shows second. I thought that flashing my custom splash would erase the previously flashed TP2 splashscreen. Apparently not.

How do I remove a splash screen? Is flashing back to stock the only way? Or, can I alter mine so that it erases all other splash screens on the device?

They were flashed from different RUUs. Is that why?

I went back through the thread and looked cause I know that TMartin and mentioned something about how to change those and it has something to do with:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ Settings\System\MyCPL.cpl,2]
"Icon"=\\Windows\\HTC_clear_storage.png"

it is in post #1960 I would link to the exact post, but I don't know how to send a link to the exact post. if someone could tell me how to do that I would be greatful.

Click on the post number and that will open up a separate window for just that post. Then copy and paste that URL in your post.

There are two splash files for CDMA. One is splash, other is sub-splash!

So create a *.nb file as suggested in my thread. Then use a nbh tool like nbhutil or htrct and use the same *.nb, but place it on both splash and sub-splash, and build a nbh. Then flash that to your phone.

Hope this makes sense...

You have always had two. They were just the same image, so we could not tell.
You title one image splash.bmp the other sub-splash.bmp.
Then rum cmd.exe bah bah bah

Does anyone know how to save an image with gimp in that .bmp 24bit format.

I get that part. I just can't figure out how to use NBHUtil to combine my two .nb files to one .nbh file. I'm still working on it, eventually I'll get it.

Perhaps this is why I can't get NBHUtil to work... Anyone on Windows7 able to use it?

Which tool are you using? For nbh tool, you will have to edit the XML to include sub-splash.
