I have been testing browser speed and Mini5 is BY FAR the fastest. It isn't even close. Opera 10 is the slowest then IE then Mini5.

I have attached a dump of the reg edits in the cab.
Personally I have not used mini5 do you have an EXT package for that or a cab I can use to whip one up? I don't know the answer to your question but my guess would be that if it was manually configured in the ROM and then search the registry for browser related settings you will find it and can make an app.reg that can set it at build. Might take a while but should work if no one comes up with an answer for you.

Yeah here is the EXT. Take a look at the txt file I uploaded. It has all of the reg's to make 9.7 and 10 open up the links but it just doesn't seem to work with Mini5.

Secondly enable this to fix your volume:

OK, so I watched the video, but it doesn't really help me. It's just showing the options and how to set them. It doesn't say why I would have the buttons over top of the lock screen slider.

Thanks though,
Kevin

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

Think I just found out the issue with Mini5 not opening up links. It has to do with not being able to "Paste" the link into the address bar correctly. Java browsers don't seem to accept the link like regular browsers.

Edit: Update - Trying JZMortscript which I think will work. Not ideally what I wanted but...

Did you actually check the registry after you installed Mini5 or was this a setting you used with the bigger Operas? There may be another override setting in the registry or one other random key out in space that negates this if it is flipped

I am fed up with Opera! It has been locking up on me for a while through several different builds versions etc... I am sure there is a fix but I have so many little tweaks to figure out it is just one of a hundred. I am off to San Diego in a few days and I wanted to get my ROM tightened up before I leave

Try the EXT I posted for Opera Mini5. Works great! Also, the JZMortscript works like a charm.
Here are the links.
PS. It will ask you if you want to download Mortbuttons. Do it. It's really slick. I had used this a long time ago on my TP but forgotten how good it worked.

Re: [Kitchen] WVGA Touch Pro 2 Collaboration

I know it's been a while,but im still using Opera browser 9.5

like others have said, ive had too many lock ups and rendering errors on 9.7 that i went back. Opera 10 is not to my taste yet, and Mini5 is fast, but the rendering engine is limited.

that said, How do you set, the default number of tabs available to be opened at a time in - Opera 9.5 in the kitchen( i know from within the program itself on the phone)

Manila Question: I forgot where it is to set for Manila(Sense) to auto download the weather and location info for the Home Tab, automatically. Last few builds I just click "enable location" and agree to the google agreement, but it used to always just download it. Should i just revert the manila 1324 engine?
