Hmm... major problem here, I've cooked some lovely rom using 23654 and everything is good and nice except for the one problem.

When someone calls me, my phone does not display any number nor picture. I tried googling and searching on xda/ppcgeeks but couldn't find relevant information. Any help?

i think my kitchen died. can't seem to get a bootable ROM even with builds i've used before. any ideas before I blow up the kitchen and redo it?

Wish I could help, learned the hard way 1 time. Now I keep a backup kitchen on a 4G flash drive for $10 @ Office whoever. Every time I get a successful update so does it. Plus I always have it in my coin pocket to share with my buddy or whomever I may run across. Its amazing the people that see our phones and never realized the potential. Always glad to pay it forward. Only hope this helps in the future.

i think the kitchen just goes dead every so often. i don't think i did anything to it this time....
easy enough to rebuild, just a matter of transferring over some files to a new kitchen.

edit: i'm pretty sure it is the platformrebuilder.exe that is the cause of my trouble. looking at the build logs from my old to a fresh unzipped one, shows the platform rebuilder not doing it's job. gonna try and just replace that and see if I can get it to cook.

im randomly getting a second settings icon in my start menu. one goes to the manila settings tab, the other goes to the regular settings place...any ideas?

you and your duplicates!!!
you have to have created 2 different settings shortcuts. one is linked to the manila (default), the other to windows settings. guess you'll have to recheck again.

i know right? ive found almost all my other ones. still cant figure the settings and the mail setup ones. im trying a build right now so ill see. but i didnt have this issue with the dup settings till a couple builds ago. but no idea which tweak i did that could have brought it.. ugh...
