Are you using Opera 10 or the version that comes installed on the rom? Have you flashed a different radio other than the stock one? Also, what programs are you installing on the phone after a hard reset? If the phone works fine after a hard reset, I cannot think of anything that would make it have no service after several hours other than being in a bad reception area.

* And just to comment on the AirRave mentioned above..I have one in my home and have never experienced a connection issue using that as well.

Certain geo area's (including mine) are observing some issues. I recommend reflashing the stock ROM (for the radio) then re-flashing the 4/4. Sounds like a radio thing.

The only ROM installed to date is Sprint Lovers, no other ones because I wanted the Sprint stuff. TOn my previous occurence with the ROM 4.2 I had Google Maps and Pocket Playerhis time I did not install anything else as stated earlier and I was monitoring what I was doing. The phone just suddenly got slow, the X showed up in the antenna, end of story.
After hard reset , everything work again. I will leave as is and see how long before it goes dead on me again.

Did you ever do the official Sprint TP2 update that came out last month?

Does the SIM card have to be in the phone for the wifi to work? I have a tp2 sent as a replacement for my tp and they didn't send the card. At this point it's not working. Although, the phone does accept connections from laptops. Thanks.

Great rom. do you plan to recook in 6.5.x at some point? might i suggest switching telnav to google... more importantly though, has anyone had any windows live issues? for some reason, it gives me nonstop errors saying failure to connect... please try again.

I'm dying to flash chris new rom but I would like to know I've looked through the last 10 or so pages and I didn't see any issues with this rom. For the people that have this rom installed what are you impressions are there any problems with this setup that would hamper everyday usage. Does this new rom have the new dialer on it that might mikes rom has. Thank you I've been using might mikes rom for awhile now but for some reason i keep having the SOD "Sleep on Display" issue and I have tried everything to fix it flashed 4 different radios and it's not fixing it so I've been wanting to try out Chris rom but just haven't had the chance until now. Thank you for any suggestions

I can't recommend this ROM enough. It is as close to perfect as I have seen. For me it has been rock solid and everything on it works, except for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile, but that isn't related to this ROM, it doesn't work in the factory ROM right now for the TP2 either. That being said just let me express, this is a ROM designed to look and feel identical to the factory Sprint release ROM, only with just the most well known short comings fixed. It has the same stuff the factory ROM does. Including all of the Sprint specific tabs and apps, without any extras or eye candy like other custom ROMs. It is designed for those of use that want to have the official Sprint TP2 ROM but with the stupid decisions fixed, like not having the task manager in the task bar, or the x button not really closing apps. If you want all of the really cool flashy stuff, this isn't for you. But for those of us looking for this very thing, it is a dream come true.

I agree with you, except I don't miss the HTC task manager at all. its hard to press and its buggy in this rom anyway. not to mention it constantly runs in the background and uses precious ram. I much prefer the built in windows task manager. but I don't mind at all that its included in this rom. that you have the choice because both are built in.. as it should have been with the sprint upgrade considering it was in the original sprint rom. However I would have understood the HTC task manager missing from the rom if the rom was 6.5.3 or higher because that would be even harder to press than it already is. but I agree with you this rom is all of that and a bag of chips, keeping it as stock as possible yet correcting all of the mistakes like the Facebook photo album issue.

Try taking out your SD Card and then try to replicate the issue. A faulty SD Card can wreak havoc on a phone and cause problems simlilar to the ones you have mentioned.
