I got it working fine here. What I did was first rearrange the home tabs to the way I want while still on stock, then disable sense ui, installed cookie, soft reset, enable sense. Then add your shortcuts.

you can plug the phone into your computer and pick disk drive mode and run a check disk. might work.

Yeah - over 2 hours and still going for me. About 8MB to go. 24K.

Fortunately, I used one of the mirrors and I'm up and playing with it.

I extracted the file from HTC, what is PPSTPatch, notice theres a cab for it also.

PPST_100224_RhodiumW_SPCS_2.20_delta.sa is the name.

This may not be the right thread for this (point me in the right direction if not, please). I flashed the official rom and it is great. My only problem so far is that the HTC calendar is in 24 hr format and not 12 hr. The WM calendar is 12. Any way to change this? I can't find a setting anywhere.

Thanks for the responses about the SIM card thing...I only ever booted the stock rom once when I got this phone (already refused to deal with 6.1 from my old touch pro...so I just went to something non-stock the first day I had it) so I forgot all about that...the phone is behaving normally...and so far I like this radio...it seems to like to go back to EV where all the other radios I had tried with other roms liked to get stuck in 1x a lot.

I don't know why everyone was thinking this was going to be 6.5.x... that would freak a ton of the customers out and their existing programs. I never once thought it was going to be anything more than 6.5... shocked to see they have sense 2.5.

Mine says hardware version 0004 not 0003...strange.

I did a profile and prl update on mine just now, prl is 60662.

Now Im starting to see why some ppl dont like smart phones... All I wanna do is upgrade to 6.5 and have no clue on doing so. Can someone give me the steps on how to do this from you phone, my laptop screen cracked and I didnt get it fixed yet.

Step by step please, I never did a rom update I just get a new phone. Thanks!

It looks like HTC's website -did- pull it, I can't find the link for it on the page anywhere, and direct links to the .exe redirect to the support page which doesn't have a link for it, nor does the software update page. It can't be found, I've tried flushing DNS, tried three different browsers, what gives? I just found it on Sprint's official website, however. Clicked the link on Sprint's Website, which redirected me to the same links that we had before, and yeah, it's not there. Just keeps sending me to http://www.htc.com/www/support.aspx. I wonder what gives.

*Edit: Tried it -again- in IE, navigating all the way from Sprint's Website and it worked this time. That is really and truly bizarre.

Bizarre. Yeah, I'm using a mirror. This is prolly the weirdest round of update-grabbing I've seen yet since I started coming here way back when for my PPC-6600...been through 6600, 6700, Touch Pro and now the TP2, and all those previously were much more coordinated. :D

I ran the check disk on my laptop. came back successful. However, I am still getting that error. Would it have something to do with the size of the picture files? I can browse any folder but that one using htc album

I have Comcast as well. Nothing like being Comcastrated! I used one of the mirrors and it loaded in about a minute. Try that.

First impressions:
- HTC Hero wallpaper...like
- Sense 2.5...like, thanks for the navigation and sprint TV tabs back!
- Sprint Nav 2.1....do not like, couldn't they add Telenav 5.x???
- NFL Mobile.....why was this even included?
- No task manager....WHY???
- No default lock screen....WHY???
- HTC Messaging disabled....so Sprint couldn't figure this one out either huh?
- Landscape disabled.....neutral. at least it doesn't do htc's laggy "coverflow"
- MMS works....love!
- Opera 9.7...I understand 10 wasn't released to final before you finalized this ROM.

Overall....meh. I enjoy the stability, but I'm going back to my Resco Today screen as it is the most "lightweight" with most of the conveniences of Sense.

A friendly question - how can it be a Comcast problem if HTC feeds it to you very slowly and a mirror feeds it to you very fast? Maybe I'm missing something.

I have ATT U-Verse and HTC was 24K and a mirror took a minute.

I did an IP search on the HTC site - it's in Austin TX at Hostway Solutions (or something similar), so probably a small shop that isn't sized to deal with this load on their end. Yes, HTC/Sprint should have beefed up capacity on their end for day 1!

Ok, I dont think I was clear enough... I mean the day I got this phone up until now or even since my Mogul days, all I did was dl games and browsers so with anything else I am completely lost... So with that being said what is fat-32 and what is RHODIMG?

fat32 is the type of format that your mem card has to be. rhodimg is the file name it has to be for your phone to recognize and flash it.

Is anyone else surprised that Sprint didn't include a customized theme? Not that I ever end up using their stuff, but this is the first ROM I've seen them release that didn't have a "Sprintized" clock and color scheme.

Let it do it's activesync crap

Run the exe downloaded from the htc website

Follow the directions.

So easy a caveman can do it!
