So this is what I have been anxiously waiting for? Give me a break!!!!!!!! It seems that every rom I flashed on this site is better than the overhyped sprint update. I was expecting a fix for the mms issue but it seems that they got their update by copying what the great chefs here at ppc geeks are doing. Sprint needs to go in the dictionary and look up the word innovative, I was looking for something new and different. This update is garbage compared to Mr. X and Mighty's roms. The funny thing is, they're on Telus and allow us sprint users to be able to use them. I'll stick to my mms workaround and flash a real rom, here I come Mr. X, unless someone can make this update worthwhile. In conclusion, i feel sprint gave us a canvas with scribbles and stick figures, now it's up to the great chefs here to paint the Mona Lisa.

Can anyone CONFIRM that the SIM would need to be re-unlocked after the sprint 6.5 upgrade?

From my understanding, the new upgrade comes with a new (locked) radio, but couldn't you flash an unlocked radio and use the SIM??

Yes you just need to flash another custom unlocked radio. Once your security unlocked, you can flash any unlocked radio.


Maybe if we are lucky we can get the new radio unlocked.

Is sprint BARELY getting the update to 6.5????? wo are they slow or what haha tmobile had their update ready months ago I'm so glad I dumpped sprint! I mean no offense but whats the point of an update this late? ppl have had this phone for months now and are ready to buy their next one, I love my tp2 and had fun with it but now Im ready for my new HD2!!! 5 more days!! the wait is killing me!
