Not to sound rude, but the only thing needed to fix bugs are a hard reset and then not load up whatever broke the ROM. There are no bugs out of the box in his last release, honestly. There are tweaks you can add to change themes, etc, and you need arcsoft for MMS, but one of the great things about X's ROM's is the stability. my recommendation is to HR, flash the ROM, make sure you've got a good signal cuz it will auto provision for you (how sweet is that, you don't even need to remember to provision!!) HR again post flash, and start loading ur cabs. Again, load up arcsoft, and this release had XDA_UC if you use that. CHT 1.8 works great for me, many mods will work also, but as far as out of the box bug fixes, none are needed.

Re: [ROM] [06-18-10] MR.X Sense 2.5_2013 [Build 21903.5.0.92]

Can anybody please tell me what the difference between this and the latest MightyRom are? I have installed the latest MightyRom but am a but frustrated as I had hoped it would fix some issues I have with the functionality of the (VZW TP2) phone.

1) The "notifications" screen is driving me insane when in a call. I don't EVER want to see the damned thing (be it Winmo or HTC skinned), especially every time I pull the phone away from my ear. I don't need to know that my data connection was dropped due to a voice call or that I have new emails or voicemails, that is what the icons on the tabs and home pages are for.

2) Looking for a way to prevent pocket dialing and answering WITHOUT having to manually lock the phone every time I put it in my pocket. I have tried Pocket Shield, but is is getting more quirky with each release and refuses to work properly with the BT in-dash and headsets.

Before any of you tell me to read the threads or use the "search" you need to realize the volume of posts regarding these subjects and the amount (thousdands of pages) of useless babble that surround the relevant details regarding the ROMs and their features and updates. No reasonable person has the time to read 30,000 or more posts to find basic answers, we are not all hardcore phone geeks. Some of us are just looking to improve the usability of our devices.

So... can anybody get me in the right direction?

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently not running this ROM. I'm considering switching to it though. Could you post the cabs you install on this ROM? Like enhancement cabs. Also, which version of arcsoft should I use for VZW? Thanks!

I'll list the cabs later if that's alright, I'm at work right now and can list them and post whatever you need. As far as arcsoft, Psycho's arcsoft and he's running this, so let him wake up a bit (He's a bit of a night owl, lol) and I'm sure he'll check in and let you know what he uses.

Another question, whenever you're running CHT, what does your memory usage percentage stay at with this ROM? With other roms running CHT, mine always sits around 85-90 percent. But I remember the Mr.X Roms always run very low on usage and I could run more programs in the background without them closing out on me.

Memory typically will start off around mid 60's and slowly creep up to high 70's or low 80's but keep in mind a lot of this is just things being cached and will be deleted as needed. I honestly can say I don't recall there being a slowdown or lag because of memory usage, and i've had a ton of apps running at once. I believe I had one issue while streaming sirius playing on WMP and using GPS and wifi sharing so my kids could download some caches on their ipod touches, while I was d/l'ing data for caches too (not to mention weather updates, e-mail for 3 accounts and the typical system crap that goes on behind the scenes), and that would choke up my home pc too, so I don't consider it a big issue.

I don't know of a change log to compare line by line, but keep in mind MM and X are close friends, so there are not huge differences, i.e. both stable as all hell, lol. stupid question, but have you turned off notifications for e-mails, etc? I don't get them on mine, just vibrate or audio notification that I rcvd some, along with the taskbar notification. Same for text. As far as data disconnect, don't know other than also check your notifications, I don't get that when I get a phone call either. And as far as pocket dialing without locking the phone, can't help you there. I have a holster I use, just hang up, turn off screen if I remember to, put it into my seidio holster and never ass dial or answer. Don't have a recommendation for you on that, sorry. Maybe one of the other users will have some recommendations.

I can see where to change the sounds for different notification, but nowhere to turn the notifcation prompts off.

If "notification manager" is disabled via reg setting, that only changes the notifications from the skinned HTC notification screen and the plain old white winmo dialog replaces it. For the life of me I can't figure out why anybody would want or use the notification manger, it is reduendant at best and appears to serve no purpose other than to be in the way.

did tyyou go to start/settings/sounds and notifications? There are drop downs for text notifications, e-mails, phone calls, etc, etc, and there are check boxes there to deactivate the onscreen popups.

As far as enhancement cabs, I'm assuming you mean visual mods, first off I use CHT 1.8 and CHT editor for 1.8. I loaded 1.8.5 when it first came out but it didn't seem to run great, and that may not have been CHT's fault, but since 1.8 ran fine, I stuck with it. I also load Auto SIP for the keyboard to automatically pop up for texts, but that's a personal preference. 4 per row which makes the start menu 4 across rather than 3, load up the taskbar of your choice, there's tons to choose from, unless you like the stock one, I load up a different font, and there's a font changer that I believe will work in the themes section. fdcsoft taskmanager, Mikee4fun modded sun for the weather pics, a bunch of santod mods, no clock background, remove flip tabs, sense mods from vin which allows you to change the slider, clocks, a ton of different sense mods, shutdown for the multiple softresets you're bound to do, transparent clock. I also load up Ziggy471's backup app which saves a lot of your settings and creates xml's and reg edits for you to use to set up after a hard reset or flash.

Let me know if you need any of the cabs or any other questions on this. Trust me, you'll enjoy the rom!!
