All, I found the link to SwitchMode_Eng.exe on this thread that allows you to quickly switch between GSM and CDMA, does anyone know how to add this as a shortcut in the HTC Quick Links?

Another way of asking this question would be, how do I make a application show up in the list of "installed programs" the SwitchMode app doesn't actually install so it doesn't show up in the list of available programs to choose from when adding HTC Quick Links.

1. Use default File Explorer. Find where program installed and copy it
2. Go to \windows\start menu\programs and click and hold screen to bring up context menu. Select "Paste Shortcut".

Hah... didn't even think to try that, thought it would need something in the registry... that worked like a charm thanks!

So just to be clear, I am already security unlocked so I can flash the radio but must be sim unlocked in order to use the GSM radio, correct? I unlocked the TP2 so long ago dont remember if I sim unlocked or not. Will sure be nice to have the TP2 on a pre-paid GSM as a backup! TIA

you are not security unlocked if you didn't purchase the sim unlocker. you will get stuck in bootloader trying to flash these radios.

OK bought the Sim unlocker and ran everything, all went as advertised, radio shows 2.32.00WU, now I need to run out and get a prepaid sim card to use.

For the users not understanding the procedure:

(If you previously ran the 'free' RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_10R3_100HSPL
this will allow you to flash custom roms but will NOT unlock SIM!)

You must purchase/download/run the RhodiumWUnlocker
(Which enables the use of SIM and US GSM networks)

You can THEN flash a radio from this thread (and use a gsm carrier sim card)

Any reason there isn't a 2.35 unlocked version? Has Olipro moved on to newer phones, or will there be an unlocked version of this newer radio?
