hey Vin, here are my plusses/minuses

Plusses: Very fast as usual, nice look and feel and easily modified with santod mods, etc, new album seems like a nice upgrade. battery life has been good ever since v4 which is great! also text messaging just works and is fast and stable! Also never had the ringer issue so that a plus for me. LOL

Minuses: the keyboard, not that it doesnt work but the activesync quirk I posted earlier may lead to other bugs. it is definitely interfering with a sync setup but the workaround appears to get you past that. Camera was something I was going to post but you noticed that as well so that's cool.

suggestion box: I like the taskbar, but would probably prefer a stock one with the option of installing a tsowen, gfreak, or bibobrian taskbar. whichever ones work. Maybe add the recommended taskbar links to the 2nd post? just an idea of course. Like I said, I like the one in there but also like other tbars. I think its better than v4 especially with ironing out the couple bugs. cooler icons in the start menu would take the cake as well but that's up to you. I am happy to dump the programs into whatever you have available.

The major difference is htc album.If you dont have a facebook friends with online albums-then dont flash.
In v5 you can upload pics to facebook,videos to youtube if you have accounts with them.

Just downloaded V5 for my wifes phone and it works great. I am still on V1. everything works perfectly for the most part. Still getting the error for hotmail setup that the raiden cab fixed and the camera you fixed with the cab you attached so all is well. Great job again. Keep up the great work. As stated above, I am kind of a fan of the standard taskbar but that is personal preference.

I agree about taskbar.Especially today after full charge battery icon changed to original white one,also roaming icon fdup lol.
Anybody knows where I can find custom startmenu icons that look similar to originals only square-ish (like Opera,Office mobile 2010 in my ROM)?

update. Ok so on the automatic configuration screen I immediately tapped skip and it managed to get past this and work Next test will be to see if it will sync after initial setup.

update2: it works fine. After soft reset sent myself a couple test emails and it's syncing just fine.

Do you think it can be fixed without downgrading sip?

not sure. i recall in the past the issue with active sync and ezinput 2 sips(with multiple keyboards in one) has been with biotouch.dll. Indagroove probably knows alot about this as does dareeseboy from the diamond forum. they had a workaround which involved installing a cab each time you changed from compact qwerty to full or phone keypad etc. also had a shortcut icon to the start menu. not ideal and there may be an better solution that has come out. hope this helps.

also may want to check with dibbson since I think he has a sip that is similiar. with c qwerty and full.

Is V1 CFC compressed manilla? I am currently running V1 and I love it!! am trying to add santod's custom slider but I need to know whether or not this build of manilla is compressed or not?

No compressions.You can even make your own slider
