Re: Jan.03.VINdows ROMs (Neo All in One update Radio 2.37 WV)

I flashed Neodium (radio:2.32wf) but I can't get a data connection while traveling internationally. I tried w or w/o provisioning and I get the #777 error with the provision cab installed or data connection error w/o it installed. I can use the sprint oem 6.5 NBH and it will work for opera or usb tether. BTW I'm using the sprint SIM and have WW data plan. Any ideas?

Its connection setup pack.I had a cab somewhere on sd card for SPCS-SIM users.
The thing is that cab is not good for stealth tethering users here in USA (it will break tether connection every 5 min or so),so I cooked GSM TP2 pack and cabbed up SPCS original just in case.
Today is that case lol

Would this work? say I find the orig cab for CDMA connections and then it should work internationally but to solve the US issue couldn't I just use the wifi router cab while home? I think usb needs to be stealth but wifi router doesn't. Does that sound right?

Thats right.
You can do 2 things:
1) start menu>settings>connection setup
menu>update database>update the latest settings of all operators

Or install attached cab and may be try to repeat step #1

This is the missing peace in the puzzle (I compared difference between GSM and CDMA TP2 packages) and made a cab

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner! Yep thats it. Works perfectly in HK now. Ill try it in Bahrain tomorrow. Usb, Wifi router and internal browsers work perfectly. THANKS ALOT, its truely a world phone again. Let me ask you is there a way to choose which network to roam on if there are multiple networks serving an area? some are obviously faster than others. With the sprint rom it was a crap shoot which one it picked on bootup.

Vinn & Sharkie roms are much better at using battery so I havent really been using it here.

Here is an example pic of Energyrom use and Neoduim use:
Energy:

The main problem is the extreme spikes..
My cab reduced the spikes to 500ma.
This was 6.5 rom. Other versions were better, but spikes always similar.

Neodium:

This rom constantly dropped to 30's ma lowest, with 31ma very often.
But main thing to look at is the spikes, most time around 200ma.
Highest spike were around 250-300ma..

Side comment:

Most OTHER roms stayed around 200-250, with most spikes around 350.
Most OTHER roms NEVER spiked past 510ma overclocked.

My findings were most newer roms are actually acceptable, but Neo/Pluto is best.
I am currently on pluto to see if better than Neo.
Only difference so far is Pluto slightly higher mem use.

Well, I ended up reformating the SD Card, and now it is behaving itself. Was very strange tho; Never had that happen thru 3 WM phones.

On another note, I've been using Vins Jan 3 release. Very nice release, thanks Vin. After reading a post here I gave the Windows Mobile 7 interface called Host 1.5. a whirl. AMAZING for such a young project. The transitions are very smooth, and running it i get 102 MEGS of ram free!!! It still needs some work I feel, but WOW.

@Maxx,
Thanks for battery info. What radio are you using now? Have you found any great differences between radios and battery life with Neo?

Gary
