The first auto prepend radio 1 dials w/ 1 in front of area codes, and the second radio 1 doesn't.

What about the Manila start menu Any ideas? The stock 6.5 start menu is worthless.

jd,

I'm loving your 2.5 roms but have found one annoying issue. I text a lot and randomly after pressing send it would show the spinning icon like its working but never finishes. it always results in me performing a soft reset.

I think it happens when sending while receiving. instead of getting the pop-up about message going into drafts it would just clock.

After removing the 'sms patch' from start up i have not had these issues and things are working as expected. This issue has been there for each of your 2.5s you released this week.

Is the 'sms patch' necessary?

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

Sure enough. So the issue would be that onenote just won't do it? lol
Glad regular old notes didn't get removed. I still like being able to finger scroll in excel though.

the patch is used to disable htc messaging which is horrible and getting picture msgs to work through it is like pulling teeth out!!

the freezing issue is due to the SIP Auto deploy, mainly... i disable it using advanced config. there's a reg entry for it but i dont have it right now..
however ur best option instead of soft reset whenever that happens, is run Oxios close apps. very small very light app that will close everything u have running. what u do is when it freezes on you, click the end button to get out of the txt msg and go to the start menu and run it (i have it in the quicklinks so its easily accessible. here's the cab. let me know how that works out for you

Thanks for Oxios. Ive never seen that program before. Simple and seems to work well.

I typically disable autodeploy but did not in these roms.

I did some further tests. Without the patch in my startup or manually running it i am still able to send and receive picture mail. This made me think it was related to something else. My first thought was the 2016 bug but i dont have any issues so far that i can tell.

When it would 'freeze' i would always lose the incomming text message as id get a message later from someone referencing the never received message.

Ill give it a shot and see what else i can find out.

Thanks again for the tip.

Just to update. I tried putting the patch back in start-up for a while. I was using Oxios when it froze to close outlook. This enabled me to restart outlook, but in the end my phone was not stable. It would keeping freezing without fully opening outlook.

Something to note, within the freezing sessions i know i lost more text messages. I had someone text an hour later asking for a response that i never received.

I'm back to just keeping that out of my start-up, and everything is working as expected.

Just wanted to note my odd experience.

Probably shouldn't use oxios kill or hibernate on anything past wm6. It caused a few issues w/ 6.1, but only because it was written for wm 5....

Thanks for the heads up. I was not aware of the program at all. It seems to still work though. I tried it randomly when outlook wasn't messing up and had no issues.

I was using cleanRam for a while. Maybe i'll go back to it.

close apps is awsome, works great

This rom is really nice... but it gets locked and stops working too often....

Anyone knows if this is going to be addressed? Would anyone recommend a similar rom that doesnt have these glitches?

Again it's really nice but i dont want to reboot my phone 4 times a day.

I've been using this ROM for a few days now and haven't had any lock ups or glitches... Could be a bad flash or something you have installed

2-xx-10

Changes

removed sms patch for sense due to the fact I can use t-mobile account for mms
added HTC messaging client
made rom to be more like the s2 gsm version
tweaked xip for more memory
added s2 gsm camera (still needs testing)
removed mp3 trimmer and voice recorder

plenty more changes to come

JD,

2 questions:

I noticed your Manila Music and Album tabs don't rotate via the G-Sensor.

Is there a way to re-enable that?

Also - the SMS Patch cab you speak of - who would want or need it? (I wonder if I do..)

in the newer manila 2.5 packages the music and album tabs do not rotate HTC changed this maybe because of the slowness with the graphics .. who knows ... but there are some mods that people have uploaded for that
