I believe these are both bugs in the 2.5 Manila files, thus as far as I know, all 2.5 ROMS will have these issues.

The standard function of any cell phone out there, whether it be a flip phone or a PPC, is to have the end key return the user to the home/default screen.

Hi Chuck_IV, thanks for your response, but looking at the EnergyRom thread and its pics, neither one of the issues seem to be apparent with the rom. I haven't used the rom, so I can't verify, but I don't see why the pics would be changed.

I have used that ROM, and the problem with the msg count icon is not there.
I would call it a minor display issue, though, and not a major bug/annoyance.

Based on the little + sign seen on the # of messages bubble, I'm guessing those are screen shots of the 23518 sys version(which has email threading but is buggy), which may be using an updated manila that corrected these problems. I dunno. The 2188X series with the landscape seems to be the version that is showing these issues.

I've tried MightRom's, Energy's prior release(not the ones released yesterday), Silence and am currently running Deck's SSS with landscape and they ALL had the same 2 bugs(among other bugs).

I don't know the direct answer to your question, but I use Klaxon instead of the built in alarm clock. Much more control and you can use any sound you want (such as MP3s) for your alarm sound. I can't live without it now.

delete any values that you don't want rotated and soft reset
