Interesting. I had a friend who had similar issues. His phone would even randomly hard-reset and also do the "won't pass the bootup screen" thing.

I had him re-flash with the latest hardspl (there have been updates) and it seems to have fixed them (it's been a week).

Keep me posted though.

this is definitely 100% the best rom i have tried to date for sprint phones.. you really understand a sprint users needs.. even landscape works perfectly unlike 99.9% of all the other rom i've used out there.. could someone point me to a working version of remote desktop mobile for this rom though? thats the only thing missing

Okay, had a breakthrough:

HTC Volume Control is now working in my beta ROM. This is pretty huge.

I also have Opera 10 Beta 2u working as well.

Here is the beta version. Everything else is the same. Please post any oddities. If all goes well, will update 1st post and make it official.

OK Mal, just flashed to the beta. Initial word - the volume slider is PERFECT!! Have not tried it for in-call volume yet as I'm just waiting for the second hard reset from clear storage, but initial testing looks great. Will let you know if anything changes - AWESOME!

EDIT: Cleared storage. In-call volume works PERFECT! Looks like we have a winner! Only thing I noticed initially is that if you try to increase or decrease volume too quickly after reset, it flashes back and forth between the WinMo control and the HTC control. Stops doing so once device fully booted and works great. Thanks!

ive had the same experience with all of mightyroms customs also. it would run good for maybe an hour then get stuck at the touch pro 2 screen or randomly keep looping..

downloading the latest unlocker and flashing back to sprint...relocking then unlocking with the new unlocker...then your beta rom.

just wondering if you can include battery icon at upper right corner as percentage instead of bars as in calkkulin Kitchen in your ROM. that would be more helpful to see battery drainage.

I've heard from Chefs that the read-outs for the percentage meters are inaccurate for the most part and may actually cause more drain as it polls the battery at intervals to check for readings

on a side note: I'm running MalROM 1.1a(beta) and its by far one great achievement of work. It's got some refinements not found on any other ROM that make it very tolerable for everyday use. Great work mate

Yup, exactly that. In fact, from now on I'm disabling the 1% increment in nueBattery2 (see under Start --> Tools --> battery; you can disable it there). I just don't really trust the driver/polling.
Glad to hear! It's been solid for me too, so it's looking more and more like a final. Will wait till post probably tomorrow to post on first page.

It now truly feels complete and seamless form 6.5.

I've been on silence ROMs since 1.0 of this but if volume control is working I'm back to 6.5.3 which means I'm back to your ROM (fastest and smoothest I've used yet)

Mal- I have to concur. I've tried a ton, and really liked the early 6.5.3 attempts, but instability led me back to the 'big guys'. I've read this forum for days, hesitant to re-flash as I had my chosen one tweaked just how I wanted it... and it was 95% perfect. The 5% I thought would come in time, and to stay with that flash. But I bit the bullet and with the family gone for a few hours, flashed tonight knowing I'd have time to re-setup my other ROM if this didn't go well.

What can I say? I'm a fan- this ROM, out of the box, is perfect. I think I've tried all I use my phone for on your Rom, and it's flawless. You appear to have an eye for usability that appeals to the masses and you should feel proud of what you've put out. Thank you for your time and efforts. I will donate to support your continued efforts.

Check first page: v1.1b (final) is up with Remote Desktop Mobile on board. It's still "final testing" but at this point the ROM seems solid with no issues.

Hey Mal. Thanks for the great ROM! Your work is appreciated! Has anyone here noticed that in 6.5, it wont let you put the HTC on screen keyboard away? When you press the keyboard icon (after using the keyboard), it brings up a setting menu. Am I missing something here?

when the key board is up, there is an arrow on the left hand side pointing up bottom row ...just tap it.

Yeah, it's a weird quirk with the WM6.5.x branch. No real hack that I'm aware of to fix, but there is a trick to it: tap the lower-left corner of the KB square and it will hide the onscreen KB ;-)

Thats it! Thanks for your response.. Thats the problem. I'm missing the arrow. There is no keyboard retraction arrow on this ROM on the lower bar. If you press just to the left, it will still retract... just nothing to visually press.. Hmmm interesting...

Just two things.

1. When I installed rom, phone made no ring sound until I chose a ringtone. Is that the normal thing to happen after first installing?

2. How do I change the default email notifcation and thanks.

hit the tab on the top and search for the new email in the drop down.... select it and pick your sound from there.


you can do the same with the ring tone and anything else there.

Howdy,
I think this ROM looks great. For me to use I would like to be able to change the soft keys on the home page....PHONE INTERNET. Is there a reg edit or a way to change those keys to our preference?

You have HD Tweak under Settings --> System which can change those keys.

btw, why a "Phone" soft key when you can just hit the Send/Phone hard key for the phone? Just curious.
