There must be a way to make it work.

If you can't, I'll just have to stay with 23518v2, cause I hate to dial numbers. Telling the phone to call someone is way cool!

Thanks
I am just in the process of downloading his latest and greatest, so I can't check if its part of the build and just not active or if it is not there at all.

If it is truly not there, here are two cabs to add it to the system.

The first is the core app itself. The second updates it to the current rev level. Run the core cab first, installing to device. Once that is installed IMMEDIATELY run the second. Do not try testing VC first to be sure the install took. If you do that you can't easily install the second patch.

Once both are installed do a soft reset. Then go to Settings\Personal and check to be sure VoiceCommand is enabled. Then go to the Buttons menu and double check that the press and hold send button is associated with VoiceCommand. From there you should be good to go.

Works beautifully on the 23518 Titanium 1/21 Rom. Thanks!

dibbson I think making ROM users have to install a provisioning cab to save you building and uploading all the carrier specific Roms is a good idea. Save yourself the time so you can add more goodies to your ROMS

I agree - running the provisioning isn't a big deal - it just adds one more soft reset to the setup process. The one MM uses is pretty slick. Click on Carrier Provision in the System Folder, click your carrier and it installs what is needed and soft resets automatically. A couple of other cooks have implemented something similar.

Anybody notice they have to hit the ok or close button 2x before it actually closes on some items?

Anyway I'm downloading the 1.21 build of the 23518 (i love 6.53 as do all fat fingered folk ) The only oddity I found was I had to download Microsoft MyPhone to my storage card. Am I just an idiot that missed it in your cab or do you hate it and if so why? Thanks a lot for the great ROM by the way and keep up the great work!
I use PIM with my ROM and it is quick to restore, and does not make you agree to a EULA that has all kind of personal information invasion clauses (ever read it? not that i'm paranoid or anything).......

This is due to the new 6.5 core. It was bound to happen as i knew ahead of time this day was coming. As we all know M$ is the ONLY company who doesn't offer a good "free" development enviroment for it's Mobile world (what were you thinking?!). Also they only have a DTK for 6.5 and nothing for 6.5.x. The issue is 6.1 and before used PIE. Now it's IE6on6 which has a totally different structure and breaks the webcontrol. Now before, i could get away with it like before, just without the scrollbars (which i was trying to mod some code to get gestural scrolling working, not the easiest thing to do), and now with a true 6.5 phone experience, it totally breaks the web browser control all together. I contacted M$ technical support late last night and got a "supposed" hotfix for our phone which "supposedly" would update our phones .netcf web dlls, but it doesn't work. It won't install as a cab, and won't cook in, i tried further implementation and still nothing. So where does that leave the Updater App..... well it leaves me scratching my head, and having to throw up the work around hell mary coding pass, or either dropping the 6.5 core. If everyone like the newer core then i'll try and mod code around it, if the core ends up being unstable, then i will revert the core and i won't have to code. Oh well. But thats the answer to the updater app folks as disheartening as it may be.

THANKS A TON!!! for those cabs, you just saved me some time for sure

Thanks, if everyone is onboard with this, I will start doing this with the 21889 updates. Keep chiming in people if you like the idea better. Only reason i haven't done it before is to make it easier on you all, the end user's

Thats weird, haven't had that one happen yet. But everyone one chime in on stability though as the 6.5 core is kind of a hinge point for me at this time after this Updater App debacle.

Seems like with the newer 6.5 core the bottom softkeys seem to have a narrower touch radius, i found myself having to press harder and more precise. My first thing would be to (since it doesn't run at startup anymore) run the alignment prog. See if that helps with that.
