I'm not one to try new ROMs just to have something new. I've been looking for the best balance of speed and features so I can load one and stick with it. I'm up to about the 10th or 12th one now and can finally say I'm not just happy, but estatic. I'm very impressed with the speed, stability, and features in this ROM. If this is only a beta, then the official release will be well worth another session of reconfiguring everything. It's nice to have finally found what I beleive is the best ROM available.

My points:1) Thanks for all the work you've put into this, it's what I've been looking for. 2) For anyone else looking and looking, you can stop now.

The only thing I can think of would be to add the "Programs" tab in Sense, but that's not a big deal, especially since I'll probably be loading SPB MS back ontop of things again anyway.

What a great combo; USCC, HTC, and Medium Hill!

I think the only thing i didnt like was the music player's layout lmao. anyway take your time buddy...imma stay on this version till the time is ready.

@slochild, thanks for the nice comments, and I'm glad you are enjoying the ROMs. New versions that should be available next week will be focusing on some SYS tweaks and manila package tweaks (for more memory and performance), the addition of the newest IE (instead of the old PIE), and a brand new version of MH UC.

@jkraze,well, you haven't had to flash as much the last couple releases, lol, as the span between has been more. I really feel good about the last releases, and the next ones will be even more solid...

Quick Question,

I downlaoded and installed the Audio Booster from the MH UC app. I installed it successfully and it works but it does not seem to allow me to save my custom settings. I changed the EQ settings, clicked Save as Preset, gave it a name clicked OK and it looks fine. Go back to Booster later, and it is gone. Only the stock presets are there. I have tried several times including soft resets and I cannot seem to get it to work.

Does anyone know of a fix for this or a working Audio Booster CAB?

I see what you mean, I downloaded it and installed, and no save on a custom preset. It wasn't giving the save confirmation as normal, so something must have been wrong with it. Anywho, I got a working version up on the ftp now, so no issues going forward as it saves fine. Link to CAB

My experience with memory usage on all current roms

Sense 2.5 - Boot up to ~86 mb, eventually down to ~55 mb
CHT - Similar boot, down to low 30s (really just cant use CHT any more its just too damn slow, not your fault dibbs)
Titanium - Clean boot to 110 mb, float to 99mb or so. With mobile shell, boot to 105, float down to low 80s. I love it.
Max sense - dont know.

Another tip, to save a little more ram go to windows/startup and remove arkswitch and voice dialer (if you dont use it), Dibbs, what do the other files do?

Well, I am on the official release atm, and I have those as well. Pretty sure those are related to starting manila. If your on titanium and those are there, well that would ruin my statement, lol.

I may be doing something wrong. I installed the CAB in this post and tried again. This time it tells me I have saved the Preset, but if I go back later to get it, it is gone. Only the stock presets are there. None of the Custom eq settings seems to be saved.

Ok, so after much searching, it looks like it's an issue with the actual program itself, and no solution. Emails have been sent to HTC supposedly, but no action from them yet on a fix. You will just have to set the levels whenever you plug in your headset. Unfortunately no fix.

Your manila contact card = owner info.

Np Doug, and as a side note, there is some speculation that the manila audio manager has something to do with the issue. I don't have a titanium ROM flashed at the moment, but it would be interesting to know if the HTC audio booster worked fine without manila on the MH titanium ROM.

1. EDIT, prox took care of it, thanks prox! New IE will be included in all future ROMs, if you missed the post about it a couple days ago.

2. The classicblue.tsk should still be there, just change to a different theme and then back to the classicblue one and you should be fine.

You could try mortplayer or coreplayer, those come with equalizers built in I believe.

Yeah, I seen the new FB tab. I haven't messed with it yet though. Probably unlikely that I will cook it into the ROMs though since it can be CAB installed. I think there is an upgrade CAB if you have already have the original one in there.

@jkraze, New Max Sense ROM should be ready on Wednesday with the newest Max Sense version.

@dwmackay, while in a call, press the hold button. it will then switch over to a dial tone that you can dial another number. then press the hold button again. I think that should work for ya. if not let me know.

dibbs... no commet haha.i dont want to overjoy my self and get upset like the bigmax rom...looks great..but still has alot of bugs...one which i dont understand to well and maybe you could explain...i understand eeveryone is trying this new threaded messaging system..it is smooth to scrool back in forth but when switched to landscape to type a message ..it seems to look buggy. like the text pic symbol is right over the text box you know...so im wondering why is that..is it screen res problems? not written correctly to fit? or what..its a little sluggish n my opinion also...n e way back to the question ha....does that program have to be in it?

@jkraze, if i remember right, to get some of the cool threaded, and bubble message stuff, it's by editing the CSS files in the SYS. I'm sure it could be fixed though.

Here is a pic of the tentative layout for the home page of the new Max Sense ROM. These are the only widgets I have enabled on first boot besides an appointment widget on the left panel.

Mad props on the CHT ROM.=P~ Flashed it yesterday and just gotta say so far it is seamless! I'm looking for some add ons though.

1. Does anyone know if I can install a facebook slider tab and where the cab is?
2. Can I get the OEM RSS hub cab, where?
3. Any word on a footprints cab that works with this ROM?
4. On the pics, the start menu is black, mine is green, any ideas?

Thanks, and I'm glad your liking it so far.

1. Yes, facebook manila tab can be used. You will just have to jump over to the facebook manila tab XDA thread and see if there is a CAB yet. If not, you could still install it, but it would be a little more complicated. Make sure you read the instructions as well, as there is one manila file which is the tab order file, because if that file isn't the same tab order as what is on the ROM, manila won't boot.

2. Use MH UC to connect to the FTP and an RSS Hub CAB is in the CABs section.

3. I don't use Footprints, and I wasn't aware it was fully working. Someone else will have to field this question, as I would have to search before giving you an answer, but if I find one, I will post it.

4. I have no idea why yours would be green. I flash and test every ROM I upload to make sure menus and wallpapers and what not are correct on each ROM. Was it like that on first boot? Only thing I can think of is something you installed or something overwrote the image file in the \windows directory.

Thanks. I have searched for the footprints cab but haven't found anything recent its all like 2009. I also searched for the facebook tab and can't find anything conclusive or easy. I have had both on previous ROMs that i've tried and really liked them, but the ROM wasn't as good overall as yours. I also have found some RSS hubs but I can't get them to work. I'll have to look for the one in MHUC. Thanks for a quick response!
