"Good news everyone", my ordeal is over, yay!

Anyways, while sitting around last night, I made the executive decision to delay the updates a few more days. *Gasp*.... I know... But... here's the reason. COM5 (235xx) for all intents and purposes is dead, unless by some miracle M$ decides to start it up again. So.... where does that leave us you ask? Well, I had the idea to make my own SYS that I will dub 235x1 (and as they progress the next would be 235x2 and so on). What I am going to start to undertake is that I am going to take the best features out of the latest new SYS builds from different branches and merge them with 23569. That way we have the best of everything all around. So beta testers get ready as I will for sure run a beta test for a couple days as this frankenSYS will need some testing after I finish the merge and test it myself for a day or two. In my opinion COM5 is the best branch for 6.5.x period!, so I'm gonna do my best to make sure that this branch stays alive even if I'm having to update it myself. Oh and if you're looking for 2016 manila, it's not ever going to happen, too much RAM shenanigans going on with it, so I'm going to stick with a merge of 2013 and 2014 until something better takes it's place.

Out of curiosity, is their no other branch that includes threaded email? I saw there is a new 23673 com build... whats new and diff with that?

@cls_, unfortunately no other branch has the thrreaded email.I think that 23xxx branch is an HTC branch actually.Well, there is one branch that has a newer IE, one with newer core code, and I'm still figuring out some of the finer points/newer stuff of some of the builds, as I was a firm believer in COM5.

<THROWS HANDS IN THE AIR> Thats it dibbs...just got through flashing mr timberwolfs version and i am soo tired of all this flashing and re adding and waiting for programs to INstall lol.... thats it...I turned off my phone, unplugged my battery for tp2..and will use my old Motorola aka cingular c139 that has nothing... because compared to all the rest of the roms thats what im getting lol. So just consider me out of a phone till then hahaha...that last flash pissed me off lol

That was a little harsh to say about Timberwolfs ROM don't ya think? Just like me, I'm sure he puts a lot of work into his ROMs. So let's keep it on the lighter side of things. I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate someone saying things like that about a ROM you personally made and shared with others online out of the goodness of your heart. All ROMs are different and built for different reasons, and not all ROMs are for everyone.

Well, everyone has diff preferences and are looking for different things within a rom. However, I feel your pain. I look for good speed, stability, memory usage, and battery life... all of which, I find, are the best on Dibb's Roms. I get so frustrated with other roms... they just don't meet what I am looking for. But I got to say a lot of other roms have some nice graphics and tweaks though... but maybe that is why they do not meet my requirements. Just my opinion. :mrgreen:

There are an endless number of things that can slow down a ROM. CFC compression is one (i mean i've never heard of anything running faster when compressed, it's like compressing your hard drive), bigger graphic file sizes, manila 2016 (some people are using) is horrible with RAM, depends on the SYS and whats been done to it, and so on and so on. And if you couple all those things together as well as many others...... well, it's not gonna help things for sure.

:headbang:UPDATE - App available to auto-overclock - No More Scripts....:mrgreen:

oruam57 over at XDA has provided an app that makes use of NetRippers overclocking dll, and does this automatically. The program still requires the manual creation of some registry keys... and if you want to OC at boot you must add a link to \Windows\Startup.

This solution is much cleaner than the mortscripts, and is working as it should be...reading the power states of the phone rather than registry keys. This solution should work across all roms, but no guarantees.

Ok beta testers, there is a beta test ROM being uploaded to the beta ftp now. I will let you know when it's done uploading. There is only one ROM, so run the provided MMS carrier upon first boot, or load your own. Same goes for provisioning, load the provided on first boot, or do your 777 thing if you have issues. This is just to test the stability of the SYS really, so I didn't want to make a bunch of ROMs for each carrier until I knew the SYS was good, although I think it is.

The beta ROM is on the beta FTP unfortunately, so you'll have to wait for the final releases. I'm waiting to hear the feedback from testers now.

I have been using the sprint rom since I got a touchpro 2. Now I am thinking of swithing and I was just about to download the July 4th version. But now ill wait for the one coming out tomorrow. Dibbson, do you know what time you will be coming out with the update?

UPDATE: Well, my internet came back up, and I uploaded the last of the ROMs, and then noticed a small issue with the USCC ROMs. So I recooked them, and am currently uploading them. I will update everything early tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delay.

I'm having a problem with 7-4-10 rom version for verizon. Sometimes when I send a text it doesn't show up in the threaded message view. I know it is sent because people will reply to it, but it doesn't show anything but the incoming messages.

7-4? Can you be more specific as I have 4 verizon ROMs. And do you mean WM text app or the HTC one? HTC one can lag sometimes, I always use WM texting.

I am using the CHT version. I think Windows is messing up, both windows and HTC are showing the problem, I assume HTC is just reading what Windows is reporting. If I hit the text slider, then tap into threaded view, the HTC shows only the incoming messages and then if i hit the all messages button, windows shows the same thing...several incoming texts in a row with no outgoing texts that should have been between them.

Also, If I go into the Sent Items in WM, the texts that did not show in the threaded view do not show up there either.

And this is on the 8-3 Verizon CHT? I'm assuming you are on the older one as I have removed the HTC Messaging from the ROMs now due to dumb randomness from the htc messaging client. I would advise that you upgrade to the newest ROM version as I just updated all ROMs this morning.

yes, there are CABs on this website or XDA. MMS never worked right anyways for CDMA so... it wasn't a big deal to me. For me this gets rid of the randomness that can happen across the board. Also, a new HTC messaging client was just released on XDA for WVGA devices and is available as a CAB install.Out of curiosity, did you task29 before flash?
