Re: [ROM][01-03]WM 6.5.3.3 28205 Manila 2.5 Titanium [UC/Sashimi] - FINAL TP RELEASE

Thanks for not leaving us in the lurch Raid! I love your ROMS and decided to give your Manila 2.1 ROM ( 23511 ) a try. So far I'm loving it! It's SO nice to have a stable phone again, I loved the look and features (at least promised features) of 2.5 but even your good 28011 had a few too many issues compared to what I've seen so far with 23511. I'm looking forward to your final final ROM!

Re: [ROM][01-03]WM 6.5.3.3 28205 Manila 2.5 Titanium [UC/Sashimi] - FINAL TP RELEASE

A question for the experts...

I am enjoying Manilla 2.5 quite a bit, the only one I could seem to get working on my Verizon TP was 28011 which is fine.

My question is I only have about 28mb free of program memory, and just using some of the touch flow apps seems to eat it up fast and even after stopping them I have only about 9mb free.

I used the kitchen, baselined the SYS and XIP, did not relocate moudules, and used a 6mb pagepool.

Is there anything I can do to free up a bit more RAM on this build? The number one offenders of RAM are gwes.exe and cprog.exe which I am sure are faily important...

So where can I trim some fat?

Thank you!

Re: [ROM][01-13]WM 6.5.5 23518 Manila 2.5&Titanium [UC/Sashimi] - FINAL TP RELEASE

here it is, a release with no bugs that I have found. it is incredibly fast. youtube works like a dream, many more fixes. I included the package list in the OP for those wondering..

Download Manila 2.5 ROM ( 23518 ) - Final Touch Pro Release

(I wish I could get my TP2 running this well...)

try both, but think about this: is TWO MEGS of RAM really going to save you? Sure battery life will be slightly better, I say go with 8 though

The ROM is set at 24 by default

edit: I have not tested the rom on a VZW TP yet... It SHOULD boot but I don't know, let me test it out... (sorry I completely forgot to do that...)

it is not half, its 192mb vs 256mb... but still, it is a bit crippling. I used a VZW TP for 9 months, still keep it around for testing purposes. by the way, this rom boots fine on VZW I actually like the VZW design and screen better than sprint. feels more solid and screen is awesome. too bad they took out ram when I put a sprint TP and VZW tp side by side on my rom, the VZW always feels more responsive and faster not by much, but there is a difference there somewhere

edit: 14mb free on boot with the 24mb PP. damn 2.5 was not ever intended for this little RAM lol. My rom is pretty slim, too. though I guess you could remove coreplayer, the crank ringtone, etc but that wont free up ram, just rom size...

yeah i havta say vzw did a good job makin the phone look good, but not proform well. ehh. but 14mb you say free with 24mb ..

ok ok. tonight (once i get off the phone with the gf) i'll flash this with 18mb and see how it goes. (i figured the amount of RAM difference is roughly 4/3) so with the default 24mb divided by 4/3 you get ~18. so hey lets give it a shot. or ya know i could be just putting in random numbers hoping i get lucky XD

btws dont get rid of the crank ringtone, i think its the best ringtone out there! i have that on my vogue and my tp!

Re: [ROM][01-13]WM 6.5.5 23518 Manila 2.5&Titanium [UC/Sashimi] - FINAL TP RELEASE

i am trying the final release. but i have an issue of sms. whether i send new message or answering sms, the phone gets stuck. and i have to wait at least ten seconds.

BTW, i changed the pagepool to 32M. should i make it smaller to run faster?
