Re: New sprint oem rom!!
I noticed it has a few other version upgrades.
Windows is 5.2.2.21054 (build 21054.1.6.7) vs 5.2.1.19965 (Build 19965.1.2.3) windows Live for mobile = 10.6.0052.1300 = newer than what you can get from Microsoft. That is all I have notice so far that has not been mentioned here. -Paul |

Does anyone else notice the software keyboard looks different? It seems to have more space between the "keys". For me, it makes it easier to type.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!
Yes, i have noticed. I'm not sure how i feel about the new rom. I was really hoping for windows mobile 6.5 or at least a major upgrade. This isn't really a upgrade at all. All they basically added was slide to answer and a few tweaks to make the device preform faster. I haven't tested the gps but after just trying the rom for 20 minutes i woulden't get my hopes up. I guess i could either customize it a bit or upgrade to a custom rom.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!
this may be a stupid question... it says everything will be erased including contacts, calendar, 3rd party apps, etc. Can I do a Sprite backup of everything and after the flash, reload the backup?

Re: New sprint oem rom!!
I would never reload a complete backup after a ROM flash; you might overwrite some fixed or changed system files. You can safely reload things like contacts/calendar/email - basically your user files.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!
Thanks for the warning. This is exactly what I'm afraid of. I guess I'll have to determine if the upgrade/changes is worth the time and effort to reinstall all my apps, and the registry tweaks.
