Re: New OEM Sprint rom V. 2.01.651.6

Well my internet speeds doubled after I switched from Energy ROM to this latest sprint.

( using IE and DSL Reports ) I was getting between 400kb - 700kb. Now I'm getting 1.2Mb.

Not sure why... but I like it.

You have to adjust that setting for ALL programs under the SETTINGS--->SYSTEM tab--->Task Manager option, under the Button Tab - End Programs By Tapping X instead of Tapping & Holding X.

The Opera browser not showing up in the task manager list is a bug I think, but so far the only one I've found - overall the ROM is an improvement over the original performance-wise.

It's probably not a bug, it was set up this way on the TP2 as well. Normally it would be a registry setting though that keeps it from showing on the list.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

It may be too early to say for sure but it looks to me like the text lag problem may be eliminated in this ROM. Cool. I still needed the stupid SMS Sent notification thing installed, and the SD card speedup tweak.

Now that I've managed to get the appearance adjusted to my liking and restored most things, I'm pretty satisfied.

It'd be really good to get it back, because it's dumb that if you have to go to the home screen after launching the browser you can't just get it back the old way. Instead what you end up doing is relaunching it and opening another tab (assuming any are left).

Any chance your GPS radio got turned off? Also try quickGPS to help it get a lock.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

So far so good. I did lose all my contacts due to some Win Sync issue, oh well. I do have the important ones and can get some of the others as I go. I immediately switched to Mobile Shell 3 as I prefer this to the bloated mess that TF3D is and it works fine. I took my phone off the charger 5am and gone through the day making a couple of calls, a few texts and internet usage and its currently at 90% 15 hours later. I did apply some tweaks with Advance Config 3 and some reg entries. My weekend phone usage is severely reduced compared to the week with work, school...Etc. It nice to see HTC finally give a crap about this phone with an update..Anyway, it seems ok. Has a good radio which I had used previously and I do like the slide to answer-ignore they added. Time will tell I guess after some more usage and whatnot.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

ActiveSync is evil - I say it again. I flash through the SD card, and PIMBackup saves my steak.
