you should always, at least, read the first post of a thread before you post. answers to both of your questions are there in the FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions)

Re: [AUG 4] *12 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

hi could a custom rom require another radio? I am currently running one of root's new roms and i have been having connection issues every since i flashed it I did a flash danced twice and the second time it is working better but it is still irritating to get that cannot connect message on the screen every 5 seconds. I checked the debug info and i am -80 to -76 rx power.

custom roms don't affect the radio, so it shouldn't make any difference changing the radio. you should ask in the root rom thread. are you sure you're not having the same problem on the stock rom, cause it might be a temporary network or tower problem.

before i flashed his most current rom i never had issues with connections i think i will give my cellular provider a call and see what they say. I think it was really weird though and i have been using custom rom for about a year now on TPs.

Thanks for your help!

Re: [AUG 4] *12 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

Hello to all . OK I stay in Pomona California and I wasn't getting good coverage out here . My signal was really weak in my apartment . I mean NO BARS . We had a thunder storm yesterday and my signal went through the roof . Even in the bathroom I had 3 to 6 bars , and I haven't even seen 6 bars with Metropcs network . I'm using a verizion radio 1.03.09v I think . I was wondering if Metropcs extended there coverage ? If there is anyone in SoCal then I hope this helps .

Probably a silly question... I'm out in Northern Virginia. Anyone recommend the best radio they've found for this area?

Re: [AUG 4] *12 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

OK gotta keep this thread goin'...

I have been using the latest Sprint radio, 1.12.34F, for quite some time with no complaints, within reason. I don't really drop any calls, atleast I'm pretty sure that when I do the problem is not on my end. I do not get a good signal at work, but I work inside a "clean" room in a factory, so I don't see that as bad or unreasonable. But out of boredom and just hoping for better I installed the Verizon 1.03.09V radio last night. At first I had no data, but I figured out I had to go into connections and reset the Sprint settings. I must say that so far I am a bit excited - I have full bars of voice and data. When I get back to work tomorrow I will report on my results...that will be the true test of any improvement because like I said I haven't really had any reception issues besides that.

Same here krautdog, I installed the Verizon Radio and havent looked back since. Reception here in Colorado Springs is ridiculous to what I used to get in the mountains.

At one point my Rx Power was at -57 outdoors.
Just sick, battery life is great now. Also I'm on the Psiki Final ROM. Havent crashed yet compared to others I have tried.

What did you have to do to reset the settings? I just downloaded that Verizon radio and now my bars keep going from 0-full. I even went outside and I got full bars for a second and then it went back down to 1 bar. I know I have crappy coverage inside the house but I should have better coverage outside.
