Re: [AUG 4] *12 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with Verizon radios. I flashed the Verizon radios. I tried both. Flash went right. The phone restarted but as soon as it gets in sleep mode and have nothing more to process, it begins to vibrate and fall in a non responding state. Even after multiple reboot, I still have the same problem. I tried to flash the radio using Active Sync and from SD card and I still have the same problem. As soon as I flash another radio, everything gets back to normal. I found in this thread that someone posted a similar problem some months ago but I didn't see the solution posted. I would like to know if there is a solution to this because the first time the phone rebooted I had time to go in the debug menu and based on that info, the Verizon radio would be really great for me.

Thanks a lot

Re: [AUG 4] *12 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

Rx Power - (-92dbm)
Rx Ec/Io - (30db)
Rx FER - (0.00)

Are those numbers good..?? I'm using IndaGrooves 2.5 ROM on Sprint with the 1.12.34F Radio "it came on my phone"....

I was thinking about trying a diff. radio but if these #'s are sufficient I guess I'll stick with it.. I just figured since i'm on the most up to date radio it probably works the best, but perhaps I could be wrong, hense why I'm asking lol...

Newest Verizon radio working very well here in Central WI on my Alltel TP. Was using Alltel radio 1.12.20. Verizon is the best I've tried so far, over a few different ROMs. I'll stay with 1.03.09V for now. The signal went from -91-ish dB's to an average of about -76dB's at my kitchen table (usual testing spot). Data connections go through much faster, as well as send and receiving of standard SMS. MMS is slightly better.

Just to let anyone in the Wichita Falls, TX Area know that using the latest Verizon Radio gave me the best internet speeds. Sprint was consistent of 1.3 - 1.5 megs and I went to Verizion to get it a test. At first it was at 1.1-1.3 megs but after updating the PRL it jumped 2 megs!

Re: [AUG 4] *12 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

Hello. I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro activated on Boost CDMA. Sprint does not have good coverage where I live, but I do know verizon does. So I wanted to know since I am using an unlocked phone on boost network would the verizon radio work for me?

BTW I live in Georgia. Verizon network is pretty much the best thing here, but their prices aren't.

As was stated here, any of these radios should work for you fine. There are labeled as released by carrier, but actually run carrier independant. Try a few, and use the one that works best for you in your area. Really, it could end up being any of them.

these radio roms that are available in this thread do not change what network or tower you use. Flashing the verizon radio rom will not make your phone use the verizon network or towers.

Ok now I am confused. There was an unlocked htc touch pro phone posted on ebay saying he could change the radios. this is the link (well nevermind this site won't let me post the link).

He said qoute, "Next, like I said the phone is unlocked. You can change the radios via data cable and actually run off of Verizon towers if you do not receive Sprint Service in your area but still be on Sprint's network!"

Now r u saying that this is not true and u cant do this?
