Re: [AUG 4] *12 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

I am more a lurker than a noob...been flashing ROMs for years... I updated to a new radio an everything looked ok bootloader,,,,progress bar,,,etc. After the system booted up again, I checked the radio version and it still shows the old radio...any thoughts???? The performance numbers were different (slightly better) so I think something changed...

if you downloaded it from the first post, then i imagine only 2 things could have happened. either you flashed the same radio, or you didn't actually flash it. that's all i can give with the little detail you gave.

Two soft resets later and it showed the old radio still. After a midday battery change the new radio is showing....Go fiqure.... as we say at work when the computers on the airplane tell lies.......... "backfiring electrons" ops checks good, OK for continued service.

No... The only thing that each one of these firmware versions changes is the Cellular Radio.
Which means they only alter the internal micro-device inside of your Touch Pro which connects to the towers that give you cellular signal and Data.

However, to make your WiFi faster you can enable the Wireless G by searching within the forums... Just search enablewlan how you see and I'm pretty sure you'll see it. Also, go into your WiFi settings on the phone and change the Performance/Power Saver slider to performance.
Enjoy

How very curious... I would recommend re-lock to the stock SPL, and unlock (cmonex .37) again... Never know... But I've never heard of this throughout -well ever... Just sayin', something as weird as this that hasn't been seen before could mean perhaps breaking your Bootloader... And one miraculous malfunction during a flash one day, and have no bootloader to jump back on to... You know.

PS... I say relock and unlock, because I can't think of anything the average user [flasher] would ever do that directly modifies the BL.... Except ... SPL :-p
