JD are you going to give us a beta on 23028? If you do could you look into the task manager being available on the today screen, it would be very helpful.
I might put a a beta of 23028 but it will be clean as a matter of fact I stumbled on how to natively have the internet key point to IE instead of Opera so now Opera and streaming media will be removed I also figured out that I don't need a sip to have the hard keyboard symbols to work so ezinput is gone too but if a beta is what ya want I will have one maybe tonight or tommorow at the moment all of my focus is going toward my stable build which will be alot better

Re: Jd 1.08-lr1 070709 (New 23025 Beta Available 08-13-09 Post #5)

Quick review:

Loving the bigger icons and buttons throughout the entire interface looks really good. I just hope that microsoft does a better job of centering those soft keys for the final release. Rom is very fast and the scrolling is awesome. Microsoft Word and Excel don't show up in Office Mobile only OneNote does. HTC task manager no longer show up in the title bar so i guess it's considered useless for now and i will just use the other task manager.
I would like to see the music and picture tabs added back to titanium but not a biggy. Overall i'm loving the rom thus far and liking where microsoft is going with this keep up the work JD. I will continue testing and post updates later.

Edit: the HTC task manager did show up after a soft reset but it sits ontop of the clock in the title bar so you can use it but it's an eye sore.

Does anyone have links or information on the bugs of these latest builds? I'm not always a fan of having the latest/greatest and would prefer stability than to deal with "bugs" or other nuiances of these latest builds.

Hey JD, been running DCD's for about a week or so now and it's solid, 23016, may be decent build to mess with.

Yeah I've been using your LR3 (21828.5.0.60) since you released it on 8/3/09 and I've been happy with it so far and have no issues to really report on. Still not sure at this point whether to upgrade to the new beta or not... I'll take a backseat on this one and see how others like it.

YB I might be able to help out, I've played with Sac Warrior's 23025 build and ran across the same thing. Go to the start menu programs and see if you have a program called showcase settings. That is the task manager. There is a setting to hide it, but if you touch the time in the right hand corner it will pop up the task manager if there is something that is running. Sac's has the Picture and Music tabs in his, the favorite person tab doesn't work though. Also the Chome Configurator doesn't work but I installed another type called TitanCustomizer that seems to work. Hope this helps

the 23025 build is neat, takes a bit to get used to but seems like Micro Soft is heading in the right direction. There are a few other hiccups that I've come across but to be expected until more people play around with

Re: Jd 1.08-lr1 070709 (New 23025 Beta Available 08-13-09 Post #5)

I decided to venture back to the JD Roms, really not too big on bloatware that are thrown in other ROMs. m running your latest beta and must say it's pretty nice, rather buggy but still nice. I noticed there isn't a vibrate check box for messages in the sounds and notifications folder. Is there anyway we can enable this. Also I installed the HTC Taskmanger and now I have the box overlapping the digital clock in the top right hand corner. How could remove the digital clock from the top right hand corner and just have the taskmanager there?
