Do a Google Search for Gen.Y Manila. Here is a link to yozgatg EXT and Captian _Throwback's CAB version (both on the same page): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542113 One word of caution, this manila will slow down JD's rom and they are not without bugs. |

Re: JD's Clean Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM & Kitchen (ROM updated Oct.1)
I believe I found a bug.
Typically XT9 being enabled suppresses Windows mobile's built in "TO:" field suggestions for SMS messaging. This is because XT9 has its own suggestion input. Both run off of your contacts list. However, in your ROM, both XT9 AND windows tries to suggest contacts, and actually messes the whole thing up. For example, I want to send a new text to "user". I go to the texting interface, select new message and then begin typing "u" "s", etc. As I type u and then s, 2 windows pop up: One is the windows suggestion which appears as a list in a box directly under the TO field The second is a box at the bottom of the screen with left/right directions for your choices. This is the XT9 suggestion box, and is active when using both the hardware keyboard and software keyboard. Unfortunately, using the XT9 suggestion does not work. I have typed U and S and USER has come up for both suggestions. Hitting enter types in the rest of USER + number in the TO field, and I can begin writing my message. However when sending, the TO: field in the message list display reads 1 (1) and you get an error saying the message cannot be sent. The only way to send a new message is to use the windows suggestion list and ignore the XT9 suggestion. This is difficult because you can only interact with the XT9 suggestions unless you phyiscally tap on the windows suggestion. EDIT: this issues was previously describe in post 910 and 914: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=914 http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=910 You mentioned there is a fix, but it appears to have reappeared in this last build. Is there a fix for this that we can do as an end user? Thank you for all your hard work. I think you're the only cook here who is really going for as stock as possible a build, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Last edited by qbunnie; 10-09-2009 at 03:06 AM. |
