Guys I've been tooling around with the newest ROM and it seems a lot slower in general than the second beta, which I thought was nearly perfect...I am noticing portait to landscape lag, screen lag (where a 1/4 of the screen still shows the old app during transition), and back to major lag with the SMS...when I try to send a new SMS, there is at least a 5 second lag before it goes to the compose page, and then there is noteiceable keyboard lag as well...

Has anybody else experienced this? I don't understand what reg edits were made between beta 2 and this final release other than the pagepool, but it really seems to have affected performance...

Tech 1, any ideas....it seems like there is SMS lag every other version and we fix old bugs but then new ones get introduced somehow...

I hate to ask, but could we get a link put up for Beta 2 again? I might revert until we can speed up the performance on the final version...

I should note that I am using the final version that was posted earlier this afternoon...it seems to have been reposted once or twice since...are the later versions any better?

Please excuse me, but are we that dumb on the geeks to believe HTC is in talks with this guy over cabs and reg tweaks combined in a kitchen? What codecs, codes or programs do you have in your rom that you wrote from scratch, where is the proof of copyrights or patents on your software????? This is unbelievable. Mods, this thread should be closed and this joker banned for insult to our intellect!

As far as the sms lag, did you try the black keyboard and the black slide toanswer? The lag stopped when I installed those. At least for me.

Man, changing the start text couldnt have been easier. It says heavens gate now. How cool is that. Guess im the only one new to doing that. Very cool and easy. big thanks to DomSim to pointing me in the right direction. now its nearly perfect for me! excellent job tech!
