OK I found one bug that is a pain.

1) Why does my time keep going back an hour?

I have it set to -6 GMT (Opppss) had is set to central america. FIXED!!!!

2) How do I update the cities in the weather?

None of the ones I normally look at are there. In 6.1 there was a weatherupdate.cab to fix it, but in 6.5 all it does is reset the TF3D.

i thought that as well. i've downloaded about 4 times now. from two different computers and two different internet connections. it's just the damndest thing. i get MOST of them but not all. and the ONE time i did get them, all it took was a hard-reset for some of them to disappear on me again. i'm honestly willing to try this rom. i like many of the features but i just can't get it to install properly so if anyone has any idea what the heck is going on with my phone, please tell me.

Edit. so get this guys, i had downloaded the rom again and was going to reflash, again. i remembered that i had old copy of a boot screen on my card that keeps wanting to reflash automatically so i was going to take it off. but before that, i accidentally went into bootloaded and activated it so it ran. once i reset the phone and got out of bootloaded, the phone started accessing touchflo3d (i could see the keyboard pop up). i then noticed the "Desktop" icon was back and all the programs were back. dudes, i need some really highend tech guy to tell me we what the heck is going on with this. i didn't reflash the rom, i just accidently flashed a different boot screen (which now i delete that file so it doesn't happen again).

Thank you! A very good post!

On the start menu icons, you are absolutely correct, they need updating (in fact, if you will look, some of them are the standard MortScript icons), and I already had plans on doing so for the next release. But we had you guys waiting so long already that we saw no need to delay the release any longer for such purely cosmetic reasons; after all, this is the first release, to get impressions... wanted a good starting point to continue from.

I also need to re-arrange the menu items a bit... For example, that issue of a Microsoft Apps and Office... But again, rather cosmetic (well in this case, somewhat functional), but figured not a big enough deal to hold off on the first RC.

Hmm, just to rule out anything else messing up the works, could you try flashing without your SD installed... this way, any SDConfig.txt you may have won't run, etc. Just to verify that it's nothing else on your SD that is causing the issues.

Hmm, FN key is working for me here. And the number keys are working fine on mine also... see we are both using the Sprint Touch Pro also... odd.

Thank you, btw, we do need the bug reports, not just looking for praise!

Could others please let us know if they are seeing similar issues with the keyboard?

Yes, in our internal releases we had the Weather Database Editor installed, but we had to remove it when we went to TF3D2, they are not compatible. Hoping to find a version that will work in TF3D2.

that what i was doing yesterday. i had taken the card out and was flashing without it.


the rom itself is very touchy. many of the things i normally install won't work. i hard-reset for the first problem and everything came back ok, the second time i did a hard-reset, i'm back to square one. i do know that the first time, my battery was at 100% and this time it was only about 60%. i'm going to wait until i get back to 100% and hard reset again.

guys. IMHO, this rom is just not good enough to have been released yet. there are way too many issues. i for one have been yelling the louded about it not being ready a long time ago but to be honest, i'm so frustrated at the resulting rom i wish it had never been released. considering what you guys have accomplished in the past with other roms, this is a disappointment to say the least.

One thing I'm sure is taking up memory is the fact that Titanium is on the Today screen, and TF3D2 is running in TouchFlo Detacher... and possibly SecondToday running, once you've gone to that desktop (we don't have it load on startup by default, only when you first switch to it). Currently, we have it set up where you can run "Toggle Manila" and remove TF3D2 from the startup, and Switch Desktop will skip TF3D2 then. Plan on doing that for SecondToday also, and let you choose if you want TF3D2, Titanium or the "standard" items on the Today screen without having to do that in Settings/Today (and make sure the Switch Desktop works with it that way... The Switch Desktop is actually a MortScript, btw, and the Desktop softkey just calls that same script that you would run from the Start menu).

Also, TF3D2 loading up in TouchFlo Detacher is the major slow-down on the startup. Not much we could do about that if we wanted all three desktops, sorry. :)

On the page pool, I'll have to check with Lenny... we had it set in previous releases to 16MB, but maybe that got reset in the newer builds.

Been using this ROM for a day now and no real major issues for me at all. The one thing I noticed is the start menu grouping. I gotta say I found it really hard to find simple apps without having to click back in forth between different menus a few times. Really though that's just nitpicking, I gotta say the wait was long but for a first run (There WILL be more right?), this is quite nice!

Also, why the hate on? As far as I'm concerned, the best way to get your hate on is to create your own work and prove how much better it is. Don't just sling junk all over the place. It makes it hard to search for help, info, tips, etc when every other post is hate...

but its just a release candidate. isn't broad base testing, debugging, and problem elimination what an RC is about?
