I did these as I was reading past posts and I believe that the last two steps were the ones that fixed it but the task29 is a good thing to do regardless between ROM flashes to ensure a clean flash.

Thanks to all for your assistance and NRGZ28 for the ROMs! We're still enjoying our phones and resisting to go to the dark side
Tried doing this method but when I load sprint stock ROM it gets stuck at the "touch pro" logo screen. I tried loading the NBH files extracted from the exe in the stock rom sticky page. Did you use a different stock rom? If I flash to Energy after Task 29 it seems to work fine. But without flashing stock first, keyboard still doesn't work. Thanks.

EDIT: NM - I was using the RUU files from the Task 29 and replacing the RUU_signed.nbh with the stock 'RUU_signed.nbh'. Guess that's a no-no. I downloaded the RUU from the stock romm sticky page and now it seems to work. Flashing as we speak so hopefully keyboard works.

EDIT 2: Worked! Thanks for the steps mooseman!

Nope, still using your rom NRG. My TP is on the way out though. The screen is messed up - I think there is a cable loose because when the hardware keyboard is open, the screen is fine but when closed, the image is weird colored and distorted. Usable, but not pretty at all. I am hoping my TP will limp along until USCC finally gets some new phones. Their "New" phones still list the TP2 so to give you an idea how quickly USCC gets their phones, but they are a regional carrier anyways.

Haven't updated to the latest one of yours yet but might just to see what you've cooked up.

USCC is rumoring to get the Merge and Pro 7 and I am not sure which to get. An android phone would be fun to play with for a while but I would really like to use a Win Mo 7 (or I guess, WinPhone7) cause it looks so different. I wont lie, I will miss the very utilitarian and similar to windows look of Win Mo 6.

Well, i'm about to grab the new May 15 version. But noted, the In Call Volume has been broke since April 8th version (been using it, and noticed day one.) so unfortunately you have to hit home to change, then use volume again. Sucks, wish there was a fix.

Thanks for the new version NRG!!!!

In Call Volume seems to work on 29020, only it doesn't use the cool Sense volume GUI.

By the way, presuming you're referring to 21916 when you mention In Call Volume, did the volume keys have no effect while in the dialer, or did they scroll through the call log? That's what I experienced on 21916 Titanium.

Hey, if anybody wants them, I modded about a dozen icons that weren't showing correctly in SPB Mobile Shell. SPB usually won't display icons that aren't square, so to fix that, just copy these to your Windows folder using Total Commander.

ON mine (using 21916 plain sense 2.5, cookie 2 was too slow for me, and cookie 1.8.5 wasn't made yet.), the volume button's just didn't do anything at all. So i'd have to hit home button to get them working. It didn't scroll through the call log, the button's just didn't do anything.

I grabbed and flashed (flash29 first) with the 29020 today 2.5 cookie 1.8.5, since it was reported in call volume confirmed working fine. Seems quick enough for me, compared to all other's (wm6.5.5) i've tried in past. Might stick with this one. Works good so far. NICE work on speed NRG!!!

My old touch Pro finally cropped out, bought a new used one, and 2 weeks my keyboard is already stopped working (tried mashing the space bar and turning on again, which works mostly for a little then stops again.) going to send back to exchange, since it's kind of sluggesh all around, my other touch pro NEVER was this bad. Something else is wrong.

But this newest may 15 29020 is pretty NICE, and decently fast enough compared to 21916. Good enough to finally switch (granted cookie 1.8.5 is noticably faster then 2.0, which ALSO is part why it's pretty close to me in speed.)

What's the secret to getting the screen to NOT go dark during a call? My goes completely black screen, and getting the screen back up is a PITA. I can't even hang up the call until I can get the screen back up.

Also .. per my previous post .. has anyone been able to get the navigation wheel control to zoom in/out in Opera or any other programs that it used to work in on the stock ROM? Nav control is completely NOT working for me.

Touch InCall Screen Tweek should do what you want for question 1. As for the zoom wheel, I've never cared much about it, but I'm sure some creative googling will yield results. I know it still works for font size when reading SMS. There's gotta be an app or reg hack to let it do more, but maybe it's a limitation in Opera now.

Edit: There's some touch wheel settings in the Touch Pro Tweak program, no guarantee if they work, nothing listed for Opera.

Thanks. I will check into both of those. Zooming in/out with the wheel is much faster and more precise for me, plus it's just nice to be able to use one of the main features built into the phone hardware.

Is this ROM not compatible with the Verizon Touch Pro? I've done Task28/29 and Stock ROM flashes and etc etc etc and can't get this ROM to boot, it sticks on the splash screen and goes no further. It was the same with the previous release.

Edit: I have turned PP to 6MB which should be sufficient and tried the new and old WM builds along with a couple of the UI versions including Titanium.
