You don't need a cab, its built in. On Stock:

Go to SETTINGS click on SYSTEM then click on CLEAR STORAGE then enter 1234 then click YES. and your phone will be working like a new phone.

On NRG:

Go to SETTINGS click on SYSTEM then click on WIPE DEVICE then enter 1234 then click YES. and your phone will be working like a new phone.

Actually, I done that many times over the last 3 days

Today is the first day that I haven't had a freeze up since first loading the march 18 rom and I've had to go all the way back to the stock from HTC web site ... even previous NRG ROMs that worked for me before are no longer stable.

I was actually hoping this stock would lock up so I could take the phone into a sprint store for a (wishful) upgrade.

I'll see if it's stable for a day or so more and then try to upgrade again to an NRG ROM that worked for me before.

now heres one for you guys that use clear storage/wipe device...is it really the same as a hard reset? ive never had a problem with a manual hard reset, and ive only used clear storage a mitfull of times but it seemed like it was really quick and i dont recall the waiting and re-aligning the screen etc

When I've done the clear storage it has required the re-aligning etc.

I'll let an expert answer if there are any real differences, but they look the same to me. I've used them in my flash dances and not seen any lingering problems.

Is there another way to invoke the hard reset? maybe a cab for this?
This is how I did it, I hope it works for you!
1. Turn off the phone completely (do not take battery out)
2. While phone is off, hold the center button(keep finger on it)
3. Hold the volume down arrow(keep finger on it)
4. Hold the power button
Something should pop up on the screen and follow! Hit the THANKS icon if I help you!

Just confirmed that the above method indeed worked.. Still took 3 trys for it to work though.. As a recap for some, with the phone OFF: press and hold the big center d pad button; press and hold the vol down; then press the power button, then release all of them. Then bamm some old school text instructions to reset by pressing the vol up.. Hope this helps!

I still have the bluetooth issue though.. running the latest cookie ROM did the flash dance more then once.. It drops the bluetooth while the call reverts back to the phone; same thing as if the bluetooth's battery was to die mid call.. Except the headset is beeping as if the bluetooth/phone was turned off.. running the lastest Radio (1.12.??) as well if that helps at all...

I am surprised that you guys have so much trouble doing the hard reset manually. But hopefully you guys have figured it out. anyway, regarding the bluetooth issue, it could be a number of things, ranging from software issues to actual hardware issues. Maybe the bluetooth headset is giving out on you? Or maybe the bluetooth on your phone is faulty?

Those on the 21895 Rom, are you experiencing some abnormalities on ringtones? I use the standard 2 ringtone, and instealld of ring.................ring.................ring, its sounding like ring....ring....ring....ring....ring...., seems like its faster than the preview sounds.
