Re: |TP|ROM|6.5.5|WWE| * Energy 'Phoenix 2/Leo' (23542/21892) |Mar 5| Sense 2.1 & 2.

So has anyone been able to figure out the "incorrect email destination" error when using the htc messaging client? From what I can tell it only happens if there are texts in the threaded conversation, meaning I can only send a text if the thread is completely empty.

w00t! Finally got the error....um...now to find a fix...

EDIT:

Ok, did some testing on this error, and here's what I think I'm seeing.

In the HTC Messaging systems:

If we manually type (or reply to) a message that comes from a number formatted as 1112223333, it appears to function.

But the Sense Contacts default as (111) 222-3333 and thus the Sense Messaging tries to send the way its stored in the contacts, and this seems to generate the error.

Anyone able to play with this theory a bit more and see if that makes Sense?

the battery life is horrid on this

don't get me wrong, the ROM is cool but whats the sense of having such a cool rom when you can't use it without it being plugged into a charger? And even then it doesn't charge because the phone gets so hot while browsing the Web

First of all the battery drops 7 percent after a minute of being plugged out.
Then I could use opera or just be on palringo or anything with a data connection for about 15 to 20 minutes and then my battery life is down to 50-60 %...

I can't use the phone to my leisure... is there any way to improve the battery life? Aside from terminating the data connection? because even then the battery life drops drastically when sending casual texts messages (with NO data connected!)

I really like this rom there's gotta be a way to improve battery life

I absolutely love this rom, however I am getting the sms sim card error and I am unable to dial or receive when I use the people tab. However I can make calls with iContact contact manager. I've tried the sms sim card error fix cab also and that didn't fix it either. Any suggestions or fixes I can attempt?

Edit: Ok, I did some testing and it is an issue with the people tab. I can go to outlook contact and iContact and make and receive calls from there. But when I try to make a call from the people tab, it will not dial. There is an issue with this tab. Is there a fix for this or has anyone else experienced this?

I had the same problems as you, I love the ROM but the battery life wasn't acceptable for me as it didn't even last 8 hours with palringo running. I've searched through this thread already, and as far as I know there is really no solution besides turning off your data completely.

These have always worked for me on all of his roms for me and I'll expect they should work for you as well. Remember the more you check your battery and play with the phone the more battery you end up using. You can download the lumos cab from this lnk. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...5&d=1249980147

I set my email to check MANUALLY, meaning it doesnt go online unless I tell it to.
and I've set my disconnect time to 5 minutes, and to me it seems like it disconnects every 5 minutes, and not after 5 minutes of inactivity. So I would be browsing the web and 5 mins later it has to reconnect.

and I keep my screen lighting pretty low. but I will try it anyhow.
But seriously for me to even get 8 hours of normal use would be a miracle.
I just made a phone call for 10 minutes and I was literally watching the percentage drop 15% right in front of my face

I recently had trouble with my sms in the new 23542 version, but I got that fixed by installing the old sms client. Now I am getting a "Data Call Failure, error code: 67" when I try to connect to data. I was wondering if anyone had a fix for this. Thank you for any help.
