I did up a Step-by-Step Guide for this release. I'm not a big fan of the 23xxx or 28xxx builds, so I haven't messed with those really. Anyway - enjoy!

The 2.5 Thread and Guide focus on the Dusk Theme, but I've included links and information for Max Manila at the bottom of both. Just ignore the Dusk Theme designated mods and follow the links I provided to learn more about Max Manila and some of the customizations available.

I've attached some screen shots to this post, since that seems to be the fashion these days.

thank you for the update sir!!! these guides are so useful,i've learned tons from reading this mans work,ppl who are unsure how things work or are confused about how to do certain things should really take the time to thumb through these guides!!! time to read lol,thanks again threefaces

I tested the demo on 21884 and the frosty snow works fine without any lines. I'm using the Dusk Theme with a custom background on all pages. Have you dudes tried changing up wallpapers?

As far as finding a fix - try googling for weather animation looking specifically for some of the weather packs that people have released with alternate animation. I know I've seen some for different rain graphics and such. ...sorry I don't have a direct fix.

...and thanks! I wish I could keep up with NRG, but the dude is a beast - haha. I've been extra busy with recording, so I haven't been able to do up Guides for every release. I may try and do a sweep through one of the 28011 ROMs, just to get something new out on those builds...I'm sure most folks prefer them to the 21xxx's.

good idea,i actually use the sunny animation fix and the foggy window fix lol but doubt i'll ever see snow again on my screen until the next time i go to the demo,but will search for a fix for it for tb5 and others with the issue,like you i prefer 21xxx builds just haven't been able to flash one since 11-25 to a vzw tp,but the chef posted in the thread that he's working on it so all in due time lol

Has anyone tried the OpenMobileMaps app with the 21844 manila 2.5 rom? can't seem to get it to work at all. wondering if it is me or the rom?

I just pulled this down and loaded it today. Yes, I did the FlashDance. The flash goes fine, but then upon reboot, it just hangs at the Startup Screen.

Anyone else having the same issue? Is this isolated to Verizon TP's only?

bingo!! welcome to the non 21xxx flash club lol seriously i mentioned it just 2 post above yours,vzw tp owners have not been able to use any 21xxx builds since 11-25-09,only 28xxx builds will flash, the chef is aware and trying to fill our plates,for the time being we are limited to 28xxx builds only

Yes it is a Verizon issue, NRG is aware. From what I've read it may have something to do with the kernel he made. I don't think there is a solution.

Doh! Sorry I missed that. Okay, well, I just pulled down 28011 from 13 Dec. Will give this one a try.
