You got it. That's the one root posted, and I've done it. It seemed to make a difference. There's another method about putting the phone into bootloader and letting it drain all the way down then charge it overnight. The theory behind that one is you get a more complete drain in bootloader because there is no OS trying to cling onto some juice. That's how I understood that one anyway. I haven't tested it.

Did you hard reset after loading 1013 rom? if you didn't and since you just upgraded, why not try the latest rom which is 1014?

Does the battery drain a bit more on this rom compared to other roms? This is the first time I used the NRG rom, since I have been using Juicy roms for some time.

Hold Power Button, Down Volume together then hit soft reset with stylus. Keep holding down the buttons till you get the bootloader screen.

This ROM is known for speed, stability, it's included programs, and it's layout/looks. You'll notice I didn't say battery life. I'd call the battery life good, after the tweaks listed in Threefaces guide which is linked im my sig. Admittedly I can't compare it to other ROM's cuz I'm a lucky SOB who found Energy ROM as his first and never had a reason to leave. It may not make me a well rounded Geek but certainly a happy one.
The top three battery savers are controlling your backlight (Lumos or via the default auto backlight adjust), a good radio (reception) and max134's battery tweak cab. After that every user will vary with their personal usage. Spend a few days with the ROM to get a full assessment of the battery.
