even after doing the flash dance bit, this particular rom has been a bit wonky for me. looking for stable so i may hold off on anything that is released today and try the 12-7.

I have been keeping up with the thread here but am still confused on what the best approach is for SMS. I'm on the 12/4 28008 Manila 2.5 ROM and am a Sprint user. I could use some suggestions about the the 3 different SMS versions 5.2.1.22, 5.0.82.79, and original Sprint Picture Mail.

Will like i've said I don't do anything but flash 28008 M2.5 and then install Sprint Picture Mail. The HTC messaging thats built in works fine. I don't unistall anything, disable anything, just install Picture Mail. Now with that said I have seen in a couple other ROMs were they have Arcsoft MMS 5.2.2.37 installed and it handles everything sms and mms just fine. I would love to get there but thats all up to NRGZ28 and without him having a touch pro to test I don't know if its going to happen. I hope it does, but hope is for suckers.

I'm on Sprint, also if someone has a better idea or a single app to handle both that would be great.

I just flashed last night and am also having slowdown issues. I reflashed using the flashdance routine with not much improvement. Can someone please confirm is using pagepool changer and setting it to 32 will work? Some say do nto use the utility and other posts say the NRG rom will work with pagepool changer. This is confusing but I really want this rom to work on my phone.

Ok i have a new problem. I'm getting no EVDO signal with this ROM now. I just tried flashing back to stock, and while on the stock rom my data worked fine. Flashed back to 12/4 28008 M2.5 and now my EVDO is shot again. When i do manage to get an EVDO signal i have no bars and when it switches to 1x i have full signal strength. My wife's TP is sitting right next to me and her signal is fine. She's on the stock rom.

woohoo just flashed to EnergyROM_28011_HERMAN_07.Dec.2009_Standard.rar everything is faster! non sms lagg a, quick menu is faster, still testing, but so far.. in love again.. thanks NRG!

You might want to check under "connections" and "select network" my TP from sprint is set to "network".
