Re: *ROMs* *6/10* *SsS-ROMv0120* *WM6.5(21501.5.0.70)* *Rhodium Manila* *EzInput2.0*

I was going to report on the battery life with v0120, but I now have more questions than anything...

What's the expected life of the battery on these things?

What I've done: I flashed the v0120 and the Telus 1.04.05v radio and used it all day Friday while at home. Friday at 8PM, jumped in the car and drove to Chicago. Rode around Chicago all weekend, using Google Maps/GPS and making a few infrequent calls. No texting, no Internet other than Google Maps. I think I played Solitaire for about 30mins yesterday.

I've had to charge my phone three times daily since I got it. At home and on the road. Is that normal?

(For reference, I'm on Sprint, the wife is on Verizon, and her phone was dying frequently all weekend also. Is there something funky about in Chicago's CDMA bands or what? I previously had v0119 on it for a couple of days in my home town, and I could at least get through a full 18hrs before having to charge)

Sounds about right with GPS. It seems the battery toll by GPS is a lasting effect. If I ever use GPS for more than a few minutes, it seems to accelerate the battery drain. I'm not sure if the phone keeps the GPS receiver on for a period of time or what. I try to use GPS as little as possible, especially since you can't charge and use sprint nav at the same time without overheating.

My battery life is OK. Honestly I can't tell the difference from my stock Sprint ROM. It seems to last the same. Some days I think its worse, other days I think it's better. I havent upgraded the radio ROM. I don't know enough about the radio to do it.

Anyone having a problem with the dialer? If I type in a number and hit send or the green key nothing happens. However, if I select a number from my contacts, it works fine..

any ideas?

I got 36 hours out of the rom with lite use. I'm running Sprint Radio 1.11.00 and v120 of this rom.

For me, regarding battery life, something is persistently turning on (and it appears using) the data connection. And I can't figure out what. Does anybody have any ideas at all. I'm willing to try anything at this point.

Install the dialer via CAB. This corrects the issue.

flashlite 3.1 is just crap if u ask me, ie and opera run just about perfect without it, but as soon as u add flash support, their stability goes down the drain. If anybody has an updated version of the flashlite drivers and can confirm they work correctly, please send it my way. I am beginning to think the drivers are a little outdated...

Thanks,
