Thanks! :) But why leave that out?

deck has stated numerous times that in winmo 6.5 the clock is meant to be in the taskbar, and that the battery only pops up in the taskbar after your battery power has dropped below 50%.

So, he leaves it to everyone to tweak their own devices by using a reg edit, if they'd like to see the battery in the taskbar at all times...

no problem ...

so, how's everyone feeling about the new "eye candy?" I havent' flashed it yet. I'm having trouble keeping up with deck, lol. I just flashed beta4 on Friday night; still playing with it... and didn't flash beta5 cuz I'm scared of the keyboard remapping, lol.

I like it. The new Eye-Candy (Colored TF3D2 Icons) is nice.

Also I'm moving from pure UC to the SASHIMI stuff as it seems(!) to me to be easier to get ALL the customizations in.

We'll see how deck does with these Betas. I'm hoping for a Final before the end of 8/30, as I'm on a plane to a Conference on 8/31. (Don't want to flash while OOT).

I haven't flashed either for the same reasons. I need it to be fairly stable. Where is are the colorful icons coming from? The build of Manila or is it 3rd party?

I think(!) they are an import from the Manila 2.5 build. deck would have to clarify.

So far B6 is stable for me, and the keyboard is back to normal. I skipped B5 totally just on the keyboard grounds.

I'm not sure, but I'd assume the colorful icons are 3rd party. Because in the samples I've seen of manila, up to v2.5, I haven't seen any colorful icons like this...

Ok i see that people are having a prob with beta 5 due to the hardware keyboard being slightly tweaked and i assume deck will no longer include the additional SIPs in his roms so for those who don't mind the very minor changes to the hw kb, could deck or anyone else post or even pm me with instructions to enable it just in case i decide to flash away from beta 5?

I think deck is still planning on tweaking this build (beta5) in order to enable all SIPs and have a completely, properly functioning hw kb.

Modeled After the Sprint Stuffed ROM. I have now enabled all SIP's (Compact QWERTY, DIALPAD, FULL QWERTY) and they are all 100% working. Here is the down side, i had to remap some keys on the hardware keyboard in the meantime untill i can get it all perfect. I made a small gfx demonstarting the changes. They are actually very easy to get used, and the keyboard basically still functions 100%. Here is a picture and an explination...

So, like he said, I think the remapping of the hw kb is just a fix in the meantime, so those who like having compact qwerty and the dialpad will be able to use them, while he continues to work on finding a fix for the hw kb. Don't get me wrong, I totally would love to have the compact qwerty and dialpad SIPs and I appreciate and commend his efforts... but this is my only device right now and I text and email heavily from it. And I just know that the remapped hw kb would slow down my typing speed drastically...

What version are you flashing? If you're flashing anything beyond v0209, you won't need to install these fixes...

Did you flash back to stock before flashing the custom rom? If not, you should flash back to stock, hard reset, then flash the custom rom and then hard reset again. That should fix the lag issues...

I am using the 0300 beta 6.... so what you are saying is that i dont need to use all those fixes? Are your recommending flashing back to stock rom and flashing to the 0300 beta 6? im confused.... Also when i soft reset the phone, i get an all black screen and have to soft reset about 5 times before it will boot.

Nope, you don't need the fixes. And yes, you should flash back to your stock rom and do a hard reset (or clear storage). Then flash back to beta6, then do another hard reset (or clear storage). Then test out the rom, adding any other 3rd party apps one-by-one, in order to make sure they aren't hendering the function of the rom. If you do this, I'm sure it will help with the lag and freezing of your phone.

Sometimes when you install one custom rom on top of another and keep doing it over and over, your phones gets very buggy. It's always best to flash back to stock first. Hope this helps...

So Im diggin on this beta 6 right now. This ROM is just cruising right along. The only issue I have found is when I use the hardware keyboard, it always defaults to T9 and I have to switch it to ABC. Other than that, I like the new icons a lot. Nothing too flashy, but makes it look better! Good work deck.

click FN + Space and go ahead and click it to abc in there.

BTW, these ARE the icons from 2.5/2.6.

if you are running beta 6, this sounds like a bad flash, or something you are installing over the rom.

I believe the icons came from the HTC Mega ROM which has the newest version of TouchFlo2D (see here for photos). I wouldn't be surprised if the latest builds of TF3D also included the same icons though.

I've been using SsS (and all the betas) since 204, and 300 beta 6 seems to be working great so far! Thanks deck!

well in the autorun, it installs my theme, so in pic 5 it is correct. it looks like something got messed up in the flash or autorun in pic 4. Also, the theme is the last thing installed in autorun, so if the theme is showing, u know that it made it thru autorun correctly.

I am running 2.09-NS and was wondering if there is any way to remove the call history on the Today Screen? Also, on other 23017 builds I've used why can you not drag-and-drop program shortcuts within the Start Menu. All you get when you hold down on a program shortcut is “Move to Top”.

I am not saying that he answers selectively...he just did not do it on that specific questions. I only mentioned it for him to know that other people had asked for that feature. Deck is great...and i assume he might not answers everyone on this forums..not because he did not want to ..but because there is so much going on....

well I just don't think it would be right for anyone to say that he answers selectively 'cause this guys is great for posting his work for all of us "parasites" (that would include myself) to use for free... thanks to people like him, we have a new phones every other week!!!!

Keep up the good works guys...and the great ideas.
