Yea I feel ya. I don't think I'm gonna flash again after the 300 release cause I've flashed so much that I haven't had my settings right for like a month now.

This program called sashimi auto installs your cabs and does a lot more functions that you must watch the youtube training videos to learn how to do. Promising program and I've watched 2 videos but haven't watched the rest.

Anyways thx deck so much for making so many nice ROMs, I'd like to stick with one for a while if we can thx dude

hey deck i have an off topic question for you, if you dont mind!

first off i have to say that until today i never really went in debth with your rom, dude this thing is crazy, im amazed of how much detaill you put in it!! youre amazing!

anyways my question.. im debating weather or not to upgrade to tp2 once its released, only 2 things that are giving me doubts are
1: start menu style (crappy stock) which im sure will be improved on 3rd party roms
2: NO FLASH ON CAMERA!!

anyways... will you be releasing any roms for the tp2 by any chance, coz dude im stuck on this rom, not gonna switch!

the way i look at it is this, first of all you need to see what you use your phone the most for, then you can choose the rom that is most adequate for those needs and uses.

Personally i like a phone which is quick, responsive, and with a nice amount of looks, to sss rom is the quickest, most stable rom, with the menu looks, sliders, dialpads and everything that look amazing.

no rom is perfect, nor ever will be, but thats why the user must choose whats best for him.
personally deck made a great job here, and if he had to release the beta6 as his final, id still keep it for as long as i use the TP , and im sure im not the only one to think this way

Re: *ROM* *8/8* *SsS-ROMv0209* *WM6.5(23017.5.3.0)* *Rhodium Manila2.1* *EzInput2.1*

What I've learned over the years of using ROMs is that they are very nice and a perk. You have to sacrafice some, sometimes you encounter small bugs to over come or a few small problems to over-look. You can use the stock ROM and everything will be perfect for sure, no probs or bugs... but then you have everything the Stock ROM brings with it in the sense of their apps they want you to use and certain things you cannot change. But if you want to further use more of your phone's capabilities and be able to "flash" it to any ROM you desire to change the look, that's a nice perk and most would chose the change. Gotta deal with the small probs with ROMs though cause it's not perfect and not made by a team of people, just 1 person usually.

In the SSS Rom from deck, it's almost pretty darn good. Actually it is more than pretty darn good. Best ROM I've used in the long time I've been using ROMs, couple years now, I started on XDA. Later on I learned about ppcgeeks which is better IMO. I absolutely love using ROMs and deck's especially with all the extra storage space(cause the stock crap programs are gone) along with all the cool apps and updated versions of windows mobile and other htc programs... All this stuff is worth it to me to use ROMs and deal with any little probs if any. Sometimes you get special features that stock block on purpose like internet sharing and the wifi router, although you might be able to install those with a .cab on the stock rom I'm not sure.

I like stock on TP2 myself, but ROMs just give so much more and takes such little sacrifice IMO. Anyways, hope this helps.

The stock ROM, at least for Sprint, was hardly 'perfect'. In fact it was the Sprint apps that crashed on me the most. I could overlook sluggishness (not really), and even a yellow accented interface, but I had issues on the stock ROM before installing any apps. To put it nicely, it was a less than stellar ROM.
