well I just don't think it would be right for anyone to say that he answers selectively 'cause this guys is great for posting his work for all of us "parasites" (that would include myself) to use for free... thanks to people like him, we have a new phones every other week!!!!

sorry for not answering everybody. As for the moveable icons in the start menu. this is being done by people hybrid'n 23xxx shell.exe with 219xx. as in can i add it? ill go ahead and add it and see what it does to memory and such. now on the the good stuff...

i have got the keyboard mapping down to only 2 buttons left!!! below is a screenshot of the new mapping with explination.

OLD FN + L = :
NEW FN + O = :
OLD FN + . = "
NEW FN + M = "
Shift has been disabled.

will be releasing another beta within next couple of days, hopefully with the keymapping perfect. gettin closer!!!

Let me know what you all think about the new mapping. only 2 buttons have been mapped!!!

deck, I think... YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! I knew if you played with it enough you'd find a way to get the SIPs and HW KB to work.

I'm also loving the manila 2.6 eye candy as well. When I saw the jpegs I wasn't sure, but now that it's on my phone, it's really cool! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!

Is there are version of windows live (the version that allows you to use Hotmail as a synced email account) that works with this ROM?

I've installed the latest version 10.6.0034.0800, but it doesn't seem to work.

if im not mistaken, thats because there is nomore windows live in the new sys, it is now called 'bing'. on the other hand i havent included it. u may want to try a search for bing.

You know what, someone in this thread taught me a neat trick. I didn't even have to install windows live. All you have to do is set up the account through mail setup. But the trick is that the first time you set it up, you have to misspell the email address. For example, I typed in tgmuhammad@otmail.com (leaving out the "H" in hotmail), that way it let me go through the set up without that error prompt. From there, you'll have to set up everything else manually.

The pop server address is 'pop3.live.com', smtp server is 'smtp.live.com'.

After you go through the set up, go back in and edit your settings and fix the email address. And it will sync like any of the other accounts you have set up. Hope this helps...

EDIT: Also, if you still want 'Bing', which deck mentioned above, all you have to do is open 'Live Search' and look for the update. Also, I think I may have the cab. If I find it, I'll post it.

Thanks for the suggestion of Bing, but that is just the search stuff, what I'm looking for is the functionality that allows you to sync your email and contacts with hotmail/windows live. It's included with most other ROMs that I've tried.

Also, the trick of mispelling wont work, cuz I'm looking for the contacts sync as well.

Anyway, thanks, this ROM is great exept for the inability to use Hotmail which is my primary personal mail.

Well, I'm sorry I couldn't help. I use hotmail, too, but I use my phone to hold all of my contacts, so I really didn't use windows live. As a matter of fact, I never used it when I had the stock rom on my phone, so I didn't miss it when I flashed SsS.

I just want to thank deck for having me finally enjoy my touch pro with his rom.... There are a few tweaks i need help with. It seems like some of these functions on this rom are made just for the Diamond.

1.On startup i have to tap the screen to make the phone actually boot onto orange windows screen.

2.When i install over apps , my menu screen and the lock scren go to a teal blue.

3.My center button doesnt seem to work on most things.

4.Love the rom but only seem to be getting 4 hours out of my battery.

Any ideas would be great apprectiated.....
