Very nice rom bro!!! I just got my TP Thurs. and I have always been able to build a good working rom with the ppck kitchen but for some reason every one I have made there is always something wrong with it!!! Your rom will get me through until I learn a bit more about TPs so I can build my own. Thanks, and again great work!!

Why not just use my Kitchen? Works great, tons of support. I even have my own support forums ;c)

Thanks for the kind words!

I see. THat would explain why the hack didnt work!

The only thing that makes it VZW only is the MMS and little one off situations that may be encountered. For the most part its 100% useable on all phones.

1 question though...
Windows Live won't let me sign in. I tap Sign in and nothing... Reboot and still nothing. Just sits there
I know my ROM's are faster. I made them that way ;c)

Thanks man!

Dope! Good answer! I will try to fix this in the next revision. THis bug snuck up on me at the last minute and I had no time to resolve. It shoudl be fixable, until then....

Thanks Kiwi!

Re: 12 May - SSK 2.0 Final for the Verizon Touch Pro - 6.1 Stable and 6.5 Preview! Se

Hey, I just flashed your new 2.0 R4R, I was using the 1.5. But I have a question for you. I am using a program called GCz for Geocaching and the program will send a list of way points to google maps to display. However the program is expecting googlemaps.exe to be in the googlemaps folder in the "program files" folder. Which is where it is installed by default when installing the googlemaps.cab from their website.

I managed to go in the "windows" folder and find where you have googlemaps located and "copy" the 2mb googlemaps file (there were several) and past it into the folder where GCz was expecting it to be, and it seemed to be working but the gps wasn't working as well as normal.

Maybe it was working fine and I did the right thing, or maybe I'm an idiot and did the wrong thing to move googlemaps into a different location. I'm not sure If I should just reinstall the googlemaps.cab and have it installed twice on the phone... Any advice would be helpful. Thx

And by the way, 1.5 has made this phone bearable for the last 3 months, so thanks for that!

I am guessing here, but both options you mentioned sounded workable.
The first one seems to work for you, except it seems a little slower.

The 2nd option of a "dual" installation seems like it would also work. however, I'm assuming that when you do a cab installation, you'll find 2 Google Icons in the program Folder. Since it isn't in the "startup" folder, whichever icon you click on will be the program that will be running. I also assume that the new install would be labeled "GOOGLE (2)".....The only problem is that you're wasting space.

I would burn a new ROM in the Kitchen, and R4R is a choice that is available and just not select GOOGLEMaps during the ROM building process. This way you'd have a clean ROM with GOOGLEMAPS in the right location for you and there wouldn't be any questions, plus you'd get the stuff that you want on the ROM, not a "general" choice that Scott made.

I know that didn't help much....Maybe Scott will chime in tomorrow.

If you need help building a ROM, just give a holler, we're here to help. You could also go to Scott's site www.sskusers.com/forums and there are a couple of good tutorials on building a ROM.

Good luck
Bob

Bob,

That active sync uninstall and re-install did the trick. Thanks for the tip.

SSK & HTC headset...need solution

Vets...

Need advice on something...I have researched but the things I am finding do not seem be the answer or I am too new to know.

I have SSK rom 1.5 B2B b.21015 (hey I love it and I am not a flasher....it works great for me ). I have the HTC WIRED headset that suppose the control the touchflo player & phone. The phone parts works but with I press a pause, froward, reverse, etc it opens the Windows Media player. I am NOT again NOT saying this is a ROM issue as a engineer I love the rom...but I am looking for a fix, reg hack, etc. if possible to get the wired HTC headset to control the touchflo player???

Can anyone point the new kid in the right direction, pls???

Hi,
In Scott's latest kitchen, there is an app titled "Audio Booster 2.0.1819.2227.0", and I think it's an HTC app.

I believe that this is the app that you are looking for. It wasn't in the 1.5 build, but you need headsets to use it and I don't have headsets, so I'm not really sure what it does. A search for that app may solve your problem, or you could upgrade your whole phone by Flashing a new ROM from his SSK 2.0 WM6.1 kitchen.
Hope this helps a little.

Bob
